    About TIG Spot Weld Kit

Spot Welding in the past had primarily been done by large resistance welders but can now be achieved with your TIG welder and this Spot Welding Kit from Eastwood. Spot welding is accomplished by clamping two panels together and fusing them with a number of welds sequentially placed rather than a continuous bead to hold the panels together. This kit is designed to be used with Eastwood's TIG Welders as well as any other brand welder that utilizes a 17 size TIG torch.

This kit includes 2 TIG Spot Weld Nozzles, Spot Weld Pliers, and detailed instructions.

    Works Good (Posted on 5/4/2014)

I was a little nervous about this set up but it works well. The settings have to be just right or it won't work. I just finished spot welding rockers on a project and it worked perfectly. You just have to get your setting right.
not able to get consistent spot welds (Posted on 8/24/2013)

I posted my review on the replacement tips by mistake. you can read it there. Essentially I found it very hard to get good consistent spot welds from these tips. I did a pull test over about 60 welds at different Amp and times then pulled them apart. every time I got a plug, I counted a pass, if the parts just separated, a fail.

this kit produces near perfect spot welds everytime . simple to use and has a 5 minute or less learning curve (basicly setting up your amps) i was able to rap out 100 spot welds in around 10 minutes with no grinding or clean up when done . definatly a great add on to your tig welder
