Solid, forged steel, grooved jaws on both pliers hold the ring securely. The spring in each tool keep letting loose and flying across the room. I have nos lost one and Eastwood does not sell or have replacements. FInd a better tool if you wish to use more than once.

I needed good hogring tools,since I use them in my business. That is why I purchased this set. I feel the price is about double what I should've paid. The springs broke on both pliers the first time I used them. Their a quality tool other then that. If I had to do over again,I'd search a little more for a better price.
