Not for sale or use in California. Eastwood Paints are formulated to meet National Rule VOC regulations; check with your local and state guidelines as some areas may have stricter regulations than others.
Eastwood 2K Ceramic Chassis Black is easily applied with your HVLP spray gun using a 1.3mm or larger nozzle. Provides complete hiding in 2 coats; allow 10 minutes between coats. Refer to product label for more complete application directions and safety information. Can be applied directly over our 50242ZP Epoxy Primer (sold separately) after 60 minutes to 5 days without scuffing.
(Q) Can Eastwood Ceramic Chassis Black be applied directly over other finishes?
(A) Generally, Eastwood Ceramic Chassis Black can be applied over most thoroughly cured finishes (meaning, cannot be indented with a thumbnail). Scuff first with 320- to 600-grit sandpaper and test a small area before coating the entire area. If lifting occurs, remove the lifting paint, sand the surrounding area, and seal the surface by priming first with our 50242ZP Epoxy Primer mixed with 50243ZP Epoxy Primer Catalyst. NOTE: Eastwood Epoxy Primer can be reduced up to 20% with 50104ZP Zero-VOC Urethane Paint Reducer to use strictly as a sealer.

First time trying EW's Chassis Black.
I am a professional in restoring vehicles and my customer wanted a lower price product and I applied this and loved it. Drys fast, mixes great, and looks great. Apply a couple coats to darken up.

I painted a model A frame with this product and would never use it again. The finish was to dull (it should have been satin). The paint starting setting up in the spray gun before I finished spraying the second coat (about 20 - 30 minutes). This product needs more work to make it usable. Not a good product! On the other hand the Extreme Chassis Black Satin has the right finish and works well.
Good product, Eastwood can do better as a company. (Posted on 2/9/13)

As a coating, the product is exceptional. You have doubtlessly read the other reviews, the stuff works quite well and I believe it is a good value for the money.

Eastwood, on the other hand, can do better. The amount of time taken to process and ship my order was ridiculous. I just wish Amazon sold it, there is a company that understands customer service.
