About Dimpling Pliers
Dimpling feature is fitted onto 10" locking pliers for easy operation.
Simply line up your steel or aluminum patch panel over the repair area, and drill a series of 1/8" holes, spaced about 1" apart, through both panels. Remove the patch panel, dimple at each drilled hole, and do the same on the panel being repaired. The special "pilot" self-centers the dimple. Rivet the panel in place, cover the seam with a thin coat of filler, then finish.

Got at 50% off...would have returned if paid full price. Sorry Eastwood, just not a well made tool. The adjustment knob on the back turns with much force, not smooth at all. Showed up with dirt or rust all over the bag, threads were all full of casting sand or dirt. Had to use my tap and die set to clean the threads. Chips and damage to the threads on the knob. Very poor quality. Overall they look like something Harbor Freight MIGHT sell in their clearance rack. dimpling head does work but overall barely worth the price i paid. ive bought VISE GRIP brand for less with a superior quality build. Honestly, if i could modify a set of Vise Grip or even Craftsman locking pliers to do this, i would. scale of 1-10, i give it a 4 at most.Price Value Quality -
Incorrect mandrel for countersunk rivets

These dimples will require more than a "thin coat of filler" to cover. I purchased this for use with the countersunk all-steel aircraft-style rivets sold by Eastwood, intending to make aircraft wing type flush rivet lines, but found the shape and diameter of the mandrel is totally incorrect, resulting in an overly large and more or less flat bottomed depression - with no counterink taper to it! It's shape is simply NOT the same as a countersink. The dimple profiles were inconsistent too, with the base of many not laying parallel to the metal surface. A parallel jaw plier would be far more consistent..Price Value Quality -
Excellent product.

Haven't used them for a real project yet, but did test them on a single hole with excellet results. These are a really slick way to hide rivet heads without grinding them down. They are perfect for a quick and permanent repair.Price Value Quality -
a key tool

This is a necessary tool for anyone patching sheet metal with minimum buildup when using blind rivets (pop rivets) to attach it. To further reduce height, use a flange tool as well.Price Value Quality -
