Good Product, But Little Expensive

Review by Michael -
Bought this set along with flat 8" & 4" copper plates. Copper plates easier to use but magnets are whimpy and ultimately fail, so these spoons become a must. Odd shapes does help find a flat surface behind the weld to reduce blow-out. Minus some form of a welders helper when working with thin sheetmetal and/or aged floor board/fender sheetmetal, you will face constant aggravation from blow-outs. These spoons help solved the problem and do work. Handle does warm some when doing extensive work, but not enough to be a problem. If flat plates had better magnets, they would be the ultimate choice. But they don't so this set remains good alternative.Value Quality Price -
Handle grip melted first use

Review by Gojeep -
First use and after welding up 5x 7/16" holes in a chassis rail in a row, the handle covering got too hot and started to melt. You have to be careful and constantly dip it in cold water to cool it down even while wearing welding gloves.Price Value Quality
I expected better from something made in the USA as even a wooden handle would have been a better choice. -
Would highly recommend for bodywork.

This product is borderline mandatory for body working. I have an old imported rust bucket, lots of patch panels. This has made it considerably easier to cleanup and finish the body- no more blow throughs! If you value your time get these!Value Quality Price -

These have come in very handy, for filling holes, and doing panels, especially if the gap is a little too wide in a spot.Value Quality Price -

i used this to weld my patch panels and reassemble panels that i cut spot welds from. good thick copper and the ability to offset the handle with 3 different copper pieces makes this tool worthy over other copper spoons.Price Value Quality -
