I started out sand blasting everything and expoxy priming everything. Then painting it black then clear. Waited acouple of days then the chrome. Never looked like chrome to me. It could be it really needs to be used with a air brush more then a detail gun and a differant base color then black too dark. If you mist it from a distance and take a long breaks in between(because it takes forever to dry) it would look better. i ended up basting everything off again and going with a platnim silver paint. If your expecting something close to chrome save your money. If your ok with a aluminum kind of chrome look it will be ok. It needs alot better instrutions.

I used the kit for various metal parts from a 55 GMC truck. The instructions were not clear; i.e. paint with gloss black then clear the black? scuff the black before applying the chrome? I even called and got different instructions. Finished product looked more like alum. Kit black is not necessary.
Awesome except for the clear coat (Posted on 7/3/2013)

I purchased 2 kits for some bumpers due to the cost of rechroming. Did the black base coat. Let it cure and the next night did the misting of the liquid chrome. I was IMPRESSED with the shine and reflection of the liquid chrome! I applied the clear in the same process, like instructed on the bottle(light mist) and this is where disappoint came in. Maybe the clear should be applied more heavily, like paint or different clear all together. The clear simply dulled the finish to silver or aluminum. Willing to experiment with the product again!

I used Eastwood Liquid Chrome on the molded in plastic taillamp bezels on my '79 Aspen. Was impressed with the product. It's not as good as the real thing but, it's close and a fraction of the cost to have them plated. I am totally satisfied with the results.
