    Eastwood Concours Paint Gun

    • 4 CFM @ 29 PSI max. working pressure at the air inlet, 10 PSI max. at the Air Cap
    • M16 x 1.5NPS cup attachment threads
    • 1⁄4" NPT Air Inlet threads

    1. A 5/16" I.D. minimum air hose at a 25' maximum length is recommended for best results. A smaller I.D. hose and greater length may produce unsatisfactory results.
    2. Review complete instructions and become familiar with the "feel" of the gun.
    3. Clean out cup and gun with solvent to remove any residual manufacturing impurities and dry thoroughly.

Please note that many variables affect the adjustment of a paint gun such as paint viscosity and type, atmospheric conditions and operator preference. The following are some guidelines to get started but some time spent acquiring the "feel" of the gun and test spraying on sheets of masking paper are recommended before applying paint to your car. Always "tune" the gun before each use as conditions may not be the same as the previous use.

    1. The "Fan" control knob (smaller blue knob at the top rear of gun) is opened by turning in a counter-clockwise direction. This controls the size of the spray pattern or "fan" and the droplet size. Out with the knob = larger pattern/larger droplet size, in = smaller pattern/smaller droplet size.
    2. The "Fluid Needle" control knob (larger blue knob, below the fan control) is opened by turning in a counter-clockwise direction. This controls the amount of paint flow to the nozzle. Out with the knob = more paint, less atomization, in = less paint.
    3. The "Air Valve" control knob (small blue knob at the bottom of the gun near the air inlet) is opened by turning in a counter-clockwise direction. This is a "fine tuning" for air flow in the gun. You generally want to start out fully open and decrease air as needed.
    4. With practice you will quickly acquire a "feel" for the gun and will be producing professional results.

    Maintenance and Cleaning

It is extremely important that the gun be disassembled and cleaned after every use!

    1. Pour out then wipe out any remaining paint in the cup, fill the cup with water (for water borne paints) or solvent (for solvent based paints) and spray in a safe area until the spray is clear.
    2. Remove the Cup.
    3. Remove the Fluid Control Knob (lower blue knob at the rear of gun) fully by turning in a counter-clockwise direction.
    4. Remove the spring with the fluid knob and pull the needle out from the rear of the gun.
    5. Remove the Air Cap.
    6. Remove the Nozzle by unthreading with the #13 hex in the included wrench.
    7. Inspect the internal passages of the gun for any remaining traces of paint and using the included brush and water (for water borne paints) or solvent (for solvent based paints), clean out the passages and rinse.
    8. Blow out any remaining water or solvent and reassemble the gun in the following order:
    9. Thread the Nozzle into its bore and snug in place with the #13 hex of the included wrench.
    10. Slide the needle back into place.
    11. Slide the spring over the end of needle and thread the knob on.
    12. Lastly, thread the Air Cap onto the end of the gun keeping the air horns in the horizontal plane.

    Review by Onetime
It will be several weeks before I can give an honest review of this Gun. But just looking at it, inside and out I am very impressed with the overall fit and finish of this Gun. Everything looks and fits well. It fits my hand perfectly and I can hardly wait to use it!My vehicle project is many weeks away....maybe I will re-coat the metal patio furniture?? I am happy with the price, customer service and speed of shipping service.shipping. I will update my review after a few small projects.

I unpacked this gun, put in the 1.8 to spray some primer, (it was the second coat on a test piece) it laid down the nicest coat I have sprayed yet. I set the gun up as follows; I turned the fan control to full minus a quarter turn, the air pressure knob to full, and the flow knob to three full turns. The pressure regulator was spraying 10 PSI with the trigger pulled, wow what a nice coat. If it keeps spraying like this I highly recommend this gun. Straight out of the box, Awesome!
Okay gun but parts dont fit?? (Posted on 7/25/2011)
    Review by Mr. Woody
I had no complaints for the gun other than the air inlet adapter had locktite on the threads and made it almost impsossible to take off without scratching the gun. The reason i took off the adapter is because it wasn't enough threads on it to make the seal for my pressure regulator. So expect to purchase new adapter if you are using a different brand regulator. The main concern of mine was the 600cc aluminum cup didn't even fit the gun!!!!. The plastic gun worked great right threads what you would expect but the aluminum cup is another story. I could get about half a turn and it gets stuck like if it isn't even the right threads. Maybe i they just gave me the wrong cup.

Easy to use and clean. Good spray pattern and flexibility, can be used to spray heavy primer surfacer or clear with the different tip sizes but I had best results using the small 1.2 mm tip for all. Needs a little more air and pressure than advertized to spray high solids like single stage urethanes.
