Good small job blaster

Review by VW Blaster -
I upgraded my compressor dryer prior to using based on other reviews so no moisture issues. Took awhile to tune flows but was able to get a repeatable setting for both soda and grit. Did not try to mix medias and doubt I ever will. I used the lower cost 60/40 Black Diamond media without issue. Small pots make it easy to store but not suitable for larger jobs. Did what I needed it to do well. A good tool.Price Value Quality -

Used this for eight solid hours. no clogs, no problems at all.Quality Price Value
You need dry air, 5hp 80 gallon air compressor, copper air lines with drip legs, water traps, desiccant dryer 2 quart and you can blast all day.
this blaster works great! -

i really tried to make this thing workPrice Value Quality
the lines were hooked up wrong from the factory. after re-routing them, it still was an issue.
you need three arms and three legs to make it work. keep shaking it, it'll blow some media.
so, with one hand hold the gun, with the other shake the canisters. good luck -
Very Poor Quality

Review by Blaster59 -
Cheaply made in china. Fittings do not last because of the cheap quality. This is an outstanding idea but it just doesnt work . Sent mine back ....had to wait till my money was refunded to write an honest review......the positive reviews were probably written by Eastwood employees.......buy a Brut, much better quality and it works like it is supposed to...Value Quality Price -

I read the reviews. I watched the videos, My compressor is 125lbs/15 CFM. I have never been able to get the Dual Blaster to work consistantly more than 10 seconds. Too many variables which are constantly changing: Throttle valve, media valve, available air pressure - as pressure goes down in your tank, the valves need to be constantly adjusted. Ambiant air humidity is also a big problem. I finally took my sheet metal to a pro - He chuckled when I told him I had tried to use Eastwood's blaster, Said I was one of many.Value Quality Price -
Pretty good blaster, Better than most

Review by Eyeball -
I like good quality tools. There is a place for cheap tools but when you invest in shop equipment you want it to last. I purchased this blaster 6 months ago and have had very good results so far. Yes the valves could be a little stronger but if you take care of your tools you shouldn’t have a problem. My only concern was that the user’s manual states that you MUST only use 80 grit and higher with this blaster. This is not mentioned in the website. In fact the website states you can use “any abrasive you choose”. I called Eastwood and their tech confirmed the 80 grit was due to the valves. This would really limit you from purchasing the more affordable abrasives from Harbor or Tracker Supply at 60 – 40 grit. It’s not easy finding grit in 80 or higher here in NC and if you do its $25-$35. At the mercy of cost, I did give the Tracker Supply “Black Diamond” Grit a try. It states a mix of 80/40 grit. I pumped five 50lbs bags through the blaster without a clog so I guess I’ll be okay. The Diamond Grit is great on rust at only $7.99 per 50lbs. Maybe Eastwood can add some clarification on this. Overall…great blaster.Price Value Quality -

Soda blaster broke during assembly
(Posted on 2/6/11)
Review by Ronald -
I am not sure how well the dual blaster works as the "T" fitting on the soda side of the Master Blaster broke during assembly rendering the entire unit useless. I have been unable to locate another fitting so I may try my blaster. This is not the usual sort of quality I have come to expect from Eastwood products.Price Value Quality -
Good, but not great

Review by Bravoman -
When its working- it works fairly well. I had several blockages, I needed to run an industrial dessicant to get it running smooth and moisture free. Switching from abrasive media to soda is nice and smooth, The clamps and valves are poor quality, I expected better from Eastwood. It is slightly over priced. If I had to do it over again I would try my luck with some Habor Freight equipment- but I have been dissappointed there before.Price Value Quality
I am satified but expected more. The face shield/hood they supply is garbage- thin, flimsy, poor protection. If you value your eyes buy one of better quality. I rarely post reviews, but this needed to said.
