I used this powder on a suspension spring and I'm blown away by the result! From a few feet away it's almost impossible to distinguish from a real chrome plated spring. Up close the appearance looks like chrome that simply needs a wipe.Quality Price Value
I also coated a valve cover with less spectacular results.in order for this powder to look good the object you're coating has to be PERFECTLY smooth. The valve cover has some rust pitting and it really shows.
This is a GREAT product! -
Worth a look

Not a bad item; if you're expecting 'chrome', you'll be disappointed, as the finished part looks like polished aluminum with a slightly milky clearcoat over it. This will show any flaws in the part, so prep is important. The only real issue I had was on cast/forged iron/steel parts, as the color came out darker and I had 'mottling' on a few parts. Looks very good on steel sheetmetal. Lots cheaper than plating, so it's worth a look.Value Quality Price -

I did a brand new SBF allum intake manifold. It looked great for a few weeks till I changed jets and the fuel melted the powder coat and turned it into a mess. This coating is not as resilient as they say. I stripped it all off after 1 year using Permatex gasket remover. Came very clean with to coats, no sanding needed at all. I'm going back to base coat clear coat automotive base paints as they hold up better and look really nice.Value Quality Price -
