Bought 5lbs to do a customers bike. powder coated a few pieces. Found color was not even close to advertised color. I e-mailed pictures in and explained it's not black, it's kind of a green tint. does not truly cover. Eastwood would not make it right.

This is perhaps my favorite "chrome" powder. Works great as a chrome powder as well as one of the BEST looking translucent powders out there! Far easier to work with than either of the Reflective Chrome powders. Prep is everything here however. Any imperfections in the substrate will show thru. I love using this powder over bare aluminum that I have hand sanded, leaving straight sanding lines in the substrate which is highly visible under the powder after it is cure. So many tricks you can do with the substrate that will show off your artistic side that it isnt funny. I still topcoated with a clear for added durability and greater UV protection, but it isnt required.

I have used 10 different powder coat colors from Eastwood and they have all turned out great. This black chrome however is junk. I have tried high power, low power, checked my ground (which hasn't changed). I shot half a wheel with the black chrome and the powder just doesn't lay down in an even coat. I switched out to reflective chrome on the other half of the wheel just to see if it had issues and it put down a nice even coat, so I believe that the problem is the powder itself.

HC powder black chrome is a great product and has a great color most of my customers pick this color over any of the other colors that I have shown them. the only thing that I and my customers would like to see is a little more gloss without having to recoat with a clearcoat
