About Hotcoat Powder Black Stardust

Black Stardust is a TGIC Polyester formulation that produces a rainbow of metallic reflections. Cures at 400 degrees F (204 degrees C) for 20 minutes after flow-out (that transition from dry powder to a liquid look) occurs. Produces a smooth 80-90% high gloss finish. May be top coated with (10093) Gloss Clear or (10286) Super Gloss Clear for improved gloss and increased depth.

This was my first ever powder coating project. I didn't know what to expect and picked this color just for grins for a metal sculpture project. All I can say is WOW. The picture on the web site does not do this color justice. As soon as I opened the oven door people were coming up to check it out. It looks awesome. I am very happy and will definitely be buying more from Eastwood.

The pictures on the website do no justice for this powder at all!!! The effect is truly remarkable, and really sets whatever you coat apart from the rest.

I used Black Stardust over Sinlge Stage Chrome and topped it off with Super Gloss Clear on the valve cover of my S14 SR20DET and I can't get people to look away from it. In the shade it's very subtle, almost a gloss black, but when it's in the light it takes on an entirely new persona.
