About Eastwood Pre Painting Prep
Proper surface preparation—whether paint prep or metal prep—is one of the most important factors in achieving a quality finish. This specially formulated PRE® Paint Prep removes dirt, wax, polish, grease, silicone, buffing compound, even road tar, ensuring a clean surface. Very easy to use: just spray it on and wipe it off. It works better than lacquer thinner as an auto body paint prep, metal prep, or surface cleaner, because lacquer can leave a thin residue on the surface, and possibly interfere with paint adhesion.
11 oz. net wt. aerosol, treats up to 10 sq.ft.
Use PRE® Paint Prep in a well-ventilated area. We recommend using a respirator like our Pro Respirator (34029).

Pre Painting Prep is great

Value Quality Price I've used Pre on several areas of my project now. It works great to remove the oil from new sheet metal stock before you start working it. It cleans your panels of all oils and dirt to ensure a clean painting surface. The aerosol cans are very handy and I just purchased the quart size for my spray bottle for larger areas.

Price Value Quality I use Eastwood Pre as a quick wipedown before I paint anything. It works better than standard chemicals like mineral spirits and acetone.

Quality Price Value This cuts through dirt and grease easy. I like to use it also for cleaning nasty grime off of wiring harnesses, wires and related connectors. Looks like new.
