IMPORTANT NOTE: Before applying trunk paint, prime bare metal with our Gray Self-Etching Primer (16014Z), or rusty metal with Eastwood Black Rust Encapsulator (16060Z). Afterward, seal with Satin Diamond Clear for Painted Surfaces (10197Z; 2 cans included).

Although it produces a nice finish, it IS NOT EVEN CLOSE to what came from the factory. The original factory grey dots over black are MUCH larger that the tiny dots that you get from this kit. So if you're looking for a nice finish for your driver or local show car, this is fine, but if you want something that looks original, look elsewhere.

Very good coverage when applied over primer. It was applied in the trunk of a 1965 Oldsmobile 98 convertible. There was more than enough product with excellent coverage. I will buy EASTWOOD's trunk paint kit for other projects.
