As advertised this product looks just like fresh cast iron.Only better. Applies nicely. The spray tip has a wide pattern that covers well with just two even coats.Blends well if you scratch it and have to touch it up.Very happy with the results.

A little pricey - but no other paint comes close to the cast look that this gives.
    highly recommend for any restoration

I was skeptical - but after using this and only ordering 1 can...I just reordered another 4 cans today. REALLY looks like cast. I found its better to use afterblast to etch then paint instead of using etching primer then painting..just gives a more realistic look!

Excellent product. I was anguishing over painting the cast iron parts on the nuts and bolts restoration of my 68 GTO. I knew that technically bare metal was concours correct on certain parts and I was having a hard time believing any paint could replicate the color of bare metal well enough to satisfy me. Well Spray Gray is as close as you can get. While painting the parts I actually had a hard time telling where I had painted because the match was so close to the bare metal. It sprays very nicely straight from the can, (economy HVLP gun, 1.4mm tip, 25 psi), dries quickly to a nice satin/flat finish. Seems durable to handling within 24 hours, but still feels just a tad soft so give it a couple of days. 1 quart can should easily do all the necessary parts on 1 or 2 cars. I have to admit, I was surprised at the quality and ease of use. See the pic of the 68 GTO fornt spindle I finished with this paint. Nice product.

Excellent over bare metal. Easy to spray on and it looks good. Seems to be very durable. Very close resemblence to natural cast metal. I love this stuff!

Used this on the rear axle/diff housing on my 57 chevy belair & man....all i can say is WOW! It left my rear diff looking as factory cast colored as the day the car rolled off the line. The gloss percentage even had people fooled @ first glance, wondering where i came across a n.o.s rear end! LOL. The housing started life as bad looking as the springs sitting behind it (see photo) I even used it on the shock mounting plates, it looked so nice ; ) Thanks again eastwood for great restoration tools....right down to spray coatings!

Eastwood products cost more, but restoring my 1963 split window, I use only Eastwood. The spray gray laid perfectly on the cast iron rear differential and looked flawless. I have used a variety of there products and highly recommend them. Take a look at Brake gray, its the same color but resistant to chemicals as well, I am gonna start buying brake gray and use it on my drive shaft and half shafts.

I used SPRAY GRAY to lay 3 coats onto an unprimed. scotchbrited motorcycle frame. HOLY COW! It goes on super! Its lacquer so you can recoat in just 5 - 15 minutes. Looks fantastic but best of all . . a few days later I went to grind off a few small areas in preparation to do a little welding . . I could barely get this stuff off! It had cured to a powdercoat like hardness. WONDERFUL! Now if they can just make a few more colors! Thank you, EASTWOOD! Great product and worth every penny!
