Took two days from the time I ordered for them to ship it, then instead of shipping this tiny tiny package priority mail, they shipped by slow boat from China. It too 12 DAYS for this to get to me. This is completely unacceptable in today's world.

I used Alumiweld rods to fill, drill and tap broken bolt hole ears on a motorcycle engine block. After a couple thousand miles it is still holding strong. I had to make several practice runs on scrap aluminum to get the process down and would recommend the same thing for anyone new to this product but I am a fan for life!
Great but it takes practice (Posted on 11/19/11)

I used Alumiweld to fabricate a frame to hold a basket for my mobility scooter. It took me a few times to get the hang of it. The process is similar to soldering. However, you need to get the metal much hotter for Alumiweld to work. Sometimes I melted the aluminum I was trying to weld. Also, you must prepare the site to be welded with a wire brush. This is VERY important. Once you get a good weld, it is extremely strong. I've carried over 50 pounds in my basket using my 1" aluminum tubing frame, and it's held extremely well.
