    About 3M Welding & Spark Deflection Paper 24in x 150ft

3M™ Welding and Spark Deflector Paper is for use on vertical surfaces only, not for horizontal surfaces such as roofs, deck lids, hoods or carpeting on floorboards. Not designed to prevent heat transfer from sparks or spatter that are allowed to sit in one position on the paper; these will burn through. Do not use if the surface is horizontal or has areas where sparks could catch and burn.

    Application

Use this Deflector Paper to deflect welding splatter, grinder sparks, chemicals and paint overspray away from automotive glass, painted sheet metal, automotive light fixtures, and many other vertical surfaces.

Install by pressing in place on the surface to be protected. If more than one sheet will be used, install from the bottom first, then continue installing new sheets above it, overlapping by at least 1". Wrinkles can provide ledges for sparks to catch on, allowing them to burn through and damage the substrate underneath. Do not allow the paper to sit for more than 1 week, to be exposed to prolonged direct sunlight, or to get wet. DO NOT APPLY TO HORIZONTAL SURFACES WHERE SPARKS CAN REST AND BURN.
