For about five years I've been using an older Eastwood bullseye pick that was on indefinite loan from the owner (he doesn't do much metal finishing...) It's a nice tool, I've used it a lot. Finally decided it was time I bought my own, they were on sale. I'm disappointed to find that the pivot of the new tool is very sloppy, the pick hits somewhere within about a 5/8" wide window, not nearly as precise as the older one I've been using. I'll have to tune up the tool before it's useable. There's also quite a kink in one of the bends in the upper tube. Not a functional issue, but it doesn't exactly scream "quality". After paying shipping to Canada and exchange on the currency, then having to modify the tool before I can use it, it's no bargain.

I used this tool for the first time and found you have good control of the metal. The repair came out excellent.

I love this tool! Half of the damage I have had to repair would not be possible without this great tool! Rigid and true to its name, the bullseye pick is a must have!

I was pleasantly surprised that these tools were better built and sturdier than I anticipated they might be. I like the stipple finish because that make it easier to control the tool. I also like that the tip can be changed for ones of differing profiles. It will be possible for me to make my own tips, too. Ron Covell endorses the use of bullseye picks, and that motivated me to get this set.
