About Eastwood 7-Piece Professional Hammer & Dolly Set
Hammers are made from high carbon steel, and are precision balanced for optimum impact. Each head is precision-machined, polished, hardened and heat-treated for a lifetime of service and reliability. Strong fiberglass handles with thick rubber grips add unmatched durability.
The three dollies have been designed to work on almost every surface angle and contour. Each is hardened and hand-ground, then tumble-polished, for a smooth forming surface. The dinging spoon is also heat-treated and hand-ground for a straight and level hammering surface.
- Pick Hammer – Blunt point for raising low points and finessing character lines. Smooth, general-finishing face.
- Cross-Chisel Curved Hammer – Curved chisel head provides access to tight inside corners. Smooth, convex face for general finishing.
- Shrinking/Skinning Hammer – Cross-hatched face for shrinking work on large, flatter surfaces. Skinning head for installing door skins, working high crown areas and character lines.
- Dinging Spoon – Offset handle and sharp edges for accessing sharp ridges and lines. DO NOT use as a pry tool.
- Heel Dolly – Works well on larger curved surfaces and sharp inside corners.
- Toe Dolly – For smoothing larger expanses. Sharp edges for corner work, and straight edges for working flanges. Thin for access in tight areas.
- General-Purpose Dolly – Cantilevered edges for access to deeply recessed corners and lips. Integral hand-hold and mass are ideal for back-up on heavier hammer strikes.
Aside from auto body repair and metal work, this hammer and dolly set can be also used for metal forming and shaping, general-purpose body repair, and custom fabrication.
3 Hammers: shrinking/skinning, cross chisel curved, pick. 4 Dollies: toe block, heel block, general purpose, light dinging spoon
Always wear eye and skin protection when working with metal.

It doesn’t matter what product you’re talking about. You can’t buy high quality at low prices. It simply doesn’t work that way. I bought this set not expecting the quality of Martin tools, but rather expecting the quality of a Chinese product and that is exactly what I got. The hammers are OK, but as others have mentioned, the dollies are marginal. They very uneven and wavy as expected. It’s like someone coming to my shop and telling me that they want a good, cheap paint job. My answer has always been; pick one, cheap or good!Price Value Quality -

after reading the reviews Iwas expecting better quality from Eastwood. The hammers, toe and heal dollies are fine, however the machined surfaces on the general purpose and dinging dollies are a rollercoaster of lumpy junk. if you use these tools you will make more work for yourself.Value Quality Price -

After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned that the quality of the dollies would not be that good. Whatever the problem was, Eastwood worked to get it corrected, because, these hammers and dollies are excellent!Price Value Quality -
Pleasantly Surprised!

After reading some of the reviews I was expecting the tools to have some problems, but knowing that Eastwood would stand behind their product, I ordered them. When they arrived I inspected them thoroughly, and was amazed at the quality! The dollies were perfect, as were the hammers! It seems as though Eastwood went back to their supplier and got the earlier problems corrected. And here I thought I'd have to spend a lot of money to get a decent set of hammers and dollies. Thanks Eastwood!Price Value Quality -

Well after waiting 7 day's for these tools.Quality Price Value
I was put back a bit with the garbage quality I have been presented with.
These tools are CHINA made and you can clearly tell by the quality that they came from CHINA.
The Dolly face has lumps and voids in the surface. Using this would simply not work as the uneven bumpy surface would simply transfer to the metal being worked.
I could machine the surface flat but that's not the point.
VERY DISAPPOINTED .
I'm calling Eastwood to see if a return can be made or replacement of the Dolly alone.
Just another stall on my project. -
Perfect set for the price

This set is made very well, not perfect. Dollys are machined fairly well, again not perfect.I bought these on sale and they exceed all my expectations. As for the box, take out your pocket knife (you do have a pen knife in your pocket don't you?) and cut finger slots on both sides of hammer handles and the dollys.Tools go in and out slick as a whistle! Four and a half stars on quality!Quality Price Value -
not the best but nice for the price

not as 'professional' as I expected

The dollies' machined surfaces were poor. The curved surfaces had large flat spots and the flat surfaces were wavey and/or twisted. I love my project vehicle and will not subject it to the abuse of a poor tool. The hammers were better, but not great. They were light, but the trade-off is a strange balance point. I do not recommend these at all, but I am sure Eastwood will allow me to return them.Price Value Quality -
Eh,,, not sure.

I purchased this set while they were on sale. This is my first "professional" hammer and dolly set. My current set is a low $$ set, so maybe I'm expecting too much. Like Steve D said, getiing them in and out of the foam is a chore. The ground finishes on all the tools is where I have a major problem. These are not precision ground. The dollys and hammers have low spots in them that I see potentially being a problem when you're trying to smooth metal. I expected a nice even flat/rounded/curved surface on each tool and they don't have it with waves on the surfaces. However, I briefly used a hammer and it did have a nice balance to it. I haven't decided if I'm keeping the set yet or returning it.Price Value Quality
