i currently used a craftman 80amp flux wire feeder....i went back and forth on a hobart ,lincoln, and this eastwood 135. 30day money back so i gave it a try....the drive system is identical to a 8-10yr old lincoln mig pak...that being said wirefeed was very smooth .....i loaded lincolns innershield flux core(.30)wire to try it out ....WOW it took me a second to tweek the speed and amps ..the chart is good starting point...spatter was way down...starting arc was great ..its very powerful and a quality machine.Price Value Quality

Had this welder for a couple days now and have welded with it every day since I got it on everything from sheet metal to roll cage tubing and love it. I am not an expert welder but it is easy to make nice strong welds with this unit. It will weld just as good and almost as fast as my hobart 220 unit at less than half the cost. This is a great welder for around the house projects for beginners and experienced welders alike. My only complaint is that cheesy face mask that comes with it. Expect to buy a good welding helmet to get started but with the money you save on this unit that shouldnt be a problem.Price Value Quality -

this welder rocks! Why pay more when you can get the job done and have money left over for more parts and tools!!!! thanks for putting out a product that the hobbyist can use and not get taken to the cleaners just to have a " brand name"Price Value Quality -

I am a maintenance mechanic at a distribution center and we have a hobart mig welder that I use to repair Crown lift equipment. The Eastwood Mig Welder equals the performance of the welder I use at work that cost $500-$600.I strongly recommend this welder for anybody starting a car repair job.I use flux cored wire that isn't neat like gas but the weld is strong as gas with great results. Thanks Eastwood for helping those on a limited budget still get the job done RIGHT.Ed from Mercersburg,PaPrice Value Quality -

I bought this welder with the package deal on the grinder. Overall the welder works good but I was disappointed that straight out of the box it was broken. The plastic insert for the door had broken off sometime between assembly and delivery. The spool rell also feel out the first time I used it. I guess I should have check that it was tight. So far so good but quality could be better.Value Quality Price -

Bought this in December when it was $299 with free shipping. A great little welder. I bought the 135 unit so I could wheel it around my shop and use various electrical outlets. I have welded for years and you cannot beat the value here. My son is a professional welder and he borrows it to take to his house. The 120 volt aspect is really great and this welder is great for making all my brackets on my '33 street rod. Wonder how I got along without it. (Loaded up all my vise gripped pieces and headed to my sons shop, that's how!) Now, I can tack everything, pull it off the car and finish it right on the spot. Can do thicker metals, just do multiple passes. I have only used the flux core so far and the welds clean up nice. A little more spatter than with gas but that cleans up quickly also. Go ahead, buy it. Did I mention my son the welder loves it?Value Quality Price -

I got this welder for Christmas after trying to go cheap with a Harbor Freight flux core unit. I held off on getting a gas bottle and tried the Flux core for a while and was getting decent welds.Value Quality Price
This weekend I finally got to the gas store and got a bottle of C25 and got it hooked up and tried out.
The difference is night and day. With the gas i can see the bead clearly and get a nice looking bead all the way. A nice uniform sizzle sound and very few burn throughs on sheet metal.
My confidence has soared and am ready to tackle the patch on my fender. -
Perfect
