Good welder for the price (Posted on 6/18/2014)
    Review by Steve
Decided on this welder after comparing to the Lincoln 140 at HD. Half the price and it seems to work well. I am a complete novice and we got the welder to do some floor pan repairs on a 66 VW bug. I'm sure I will get better with practice but the unit is easy to use and predictable. Had a bit of trouble with the 0.023 wire included with the unit. Could not get it to feed smoothly. Eastwood sent me a free spool of higher quality 0.023 wire and things are working well now. My only complaint so far is that it is a little tough to feed the wire into the nozzle on the front side of the little drive wheel. The hold down just wants to keep dropping down. You really need three hands or a helper. The unit is solid and just the right level of power for our needs. Time will tell if this unit holds up over time. The only thing preventing a 5 star on quality is the junky 0.023 wire the unit ships with. Hopefully EW can correct that.

I bought the 135 last winter because of the really good price and good reviews. I started setting it up, but it was just too cold to weld in the garage, so it sat. I finally had some welding to do this past week and finished setting it up according to the manual which had very good directions. What a nice machine!! This is my first MIG welder. I have a Lincoln stick and wire welders and have been welding off and on for 50 years. This MIG welder welds soooo nice! I am super pleased with it. Buy one you won't regret it.
Just what I needed (Posted on 6/2/2014)

My 30 year old mig regulator broke & I decided to buy this mig to replace it. I wish I had thrown out that old mig long ago. My projects look professional now & it is much easier to use than my old mig. The welds are nicer looking, has less splatter and easier cleanup. Thanks Eastwood!

I've been using it for over a year and it has worked very well.
This is an excellent welder at a great price (Posted on 5/13/2014)

I just finished taking a mig welding class where I learned on a Millermatic 140 autoset. I used my new Eastwood 135 for the first time yesterday and it was most impressive. Once I got my temp and speed adjusted where I wanted, this welder preformed as well if not better than the Miller I had been using in school. I cant speak to its longevity as I've only got two hours on it at the moment but initially this is an unbeatable welder for the price. I would definitely recommend this welder with a tank of argon/co2 to anyone. I could not be more pleased with it.
Amazing in all phases (Posted on 5/9/2014)
    Review by Troy
I want to preface this by saying that I am not an experienced welder. I've taught myself how to weld almost exclusively using YouTube and tech articles, and the recent Kevin Tetz welding videos in particular. That said, I have a 1967 Mustang that I have been restoring for almost a year now. I had originally bought a $200 MIG from a big chain department store, and it never worked right, no matter what I did, how I tried to set it, or how many "how to" videos I watched.

I finally gave up and decided to purchase Eastwood's unit instead. First of all, the shipping was amazing. I ordered this on Tuesday, and I had it set up in my garage by Thursday afternoon. And let me tell you, the difference was NIGHT and DAY. You could see the quality right out the box. The instructions weren't written in three different languages, the shield gas hose didn't look as if it would be better suited for an aquarium, the drive motor didn't whine and creak along, and the settings on door were accurate and easy to understand. The second I pulled the trigger, I heard not intermittent pops and sputters as with the other welder on the same settings, but the sweet sound of "bacon frying." Perfect penetration, and no blowthrough. In fact, for all of the money I spent on trying to get the cheap department store MIG to work, I could have bought two of these Eastwood units. My only regret is that I didn't buy it to start with.

I already have the Eastwood 200amp tig and plasma cutter, the blue ones. I have a Lincoln weldpak I keep set up for flux core, and wanted a small welder with infinite current control. I bought this and have run a spool of wire through it already. A great welder.
    Great buy (Posted on 4/22/2014)

Very good welder for the price. Only thing is I had a century 105 amp welder and this 135 amp seems just a little more powerful. Wonder if its true 135 amp. Still a great buy either way.
