Thank you Eastwood (Posted on 10/31/2013)
    Review by G. Steele
This is a follow up to my last review titled "All Fluff" I am pleased to tell you that Eastwood has stood behind there word and has replaced my MiG 175 with Spool Gun. I must admit I haven't had an chance to use this new unit, being that I am busy with hunters at this time. It took a little effort on my part and some patients but Eastwood stood by there guarantee and made it rite. Thank you Eastwood. I look forward to doing more business with your company. ~Steele~
    All Fluff! (Posted on 10/13/2013)
    Review by G. Steele
First of all let me say, it is nice having a outlet such as Eastwood where you can pretty much do a one stop shop for about anything automotive. A little about me so you know this review is real. I am a professional guide on the west side of Kodiak island AK, I grew up on the east coast either behind the wheel of a hot rod or blasting the back roads on a motorcickel. Rusteration was my job so I am no dummy with it comes down to building and tinkering on things. Being remoter you have to do all your own repairs, I thought I did my home work comparing Mig welders. I need something that will weld aluminum, all my boats are aluminum. OK down to the nuts and bolts.. I chose the Eastwood 175 MIG with spool gun welder because of it's over all offering. I didn't want to pay a big price for a welder that would be setting around most of the time, but I need something that will work when it needs to work. Out of the box Argon wouldn't shut off on my Eastwood Mig 175. I tried everything no luck. I had to weld so burned up a $500. bottle of argon with just 3 spools of wire and still didn't get the job done so bolted the project together. Eastwood sent me a new gas solenoid, after several months I had time to swap it out so I could finish my boat project. No luck, same issue gas won't shut off. So after several emails, ( because i have no phone) I get word from one of my customers in seattle WA that was shipping some freight up to me that I have a package from eastwood at the freight company? Seems Eastwood so kindly send me a new stiinger/toarch for my welder. Even though it is the spool gun I am using. I had to have the welder drop shipped to Seattle WA back when I bought it because Eastwood wouldn't ship to Alaska? Ok I get the stinger even though I need a spool gun, I make it to a phone and can't get anyone to talk to me, so have to go back to email. Once I get someone to respond they say they can't ship to my po box because I had the welder shipped to Seattle?? Ok what ever send me a new spool gun. Ok, So the spool gun goes to Seattle, I have my customer/friend pick it up and mail it to me. WEE-HAWW I am all excited finally get to finish my boat project. All dressed up, so excited to finally finish this project. WTF!!! Same thing, gas won't shut off when finger isn't on the trigger. I have been asking eastwood via email for a wiring schematic for this MIG 175 so I can trouble shoot it, for over 6 months now with no response. I have been emailing Eastwood, customer service, tech help and the President for a month with no response.. WTF. This is why I titled this All Fluff! seems Eastwood will be all fluffy and nice at first, then throw you a bone to get you to go away, but when it comes down to standing behind there product when you have a real issue. They are no where to be found.. I think this Mig can do the job? I rate this Eastwood MIG 175 with spool gun at 1 star for quality, price and Value because it's worth nothing when it don't work!! Spend the $ and buy a real welder. I will let you know if Eastwood comes around and helps me resolve this issue. Sounds like you were Lucky Doug. Stay tuned in for my review up date. ~Steele~

I purchesed the Eastwood MIG Welder 175 Amp in December 2012 and decided to put some miles on it before giving a reveiw. After running 33+ lbs of wire through it in 10 months I am completly satisfied with it. The wire speed and heat controls are sensitive and work excellent. Also the 30% Duty Cycle has not shut down once.
great little machine (Posted on 10/2/2013)

    Review by Andrew
the unit worked great . the infinitely adjustable
heat settings make it easy to fine tune the
weld . I assembled the cart as instructed but
before I put the unit on the shelf , while I was
threading the wire thru the whip I took a picture of the chart with my digital camera
and made an 8x10 of it and put it in a zip
lock bag. the only inconvenience is when
I have to change wire or major settings .
weld quality is on par with the suitcase
millers we used at the local shipyard I
worked at before I retired . I would recomend
    this unit to anyone .
Can't beat it for the price! (Posted on 8/9/2013)

Have only used it a little so far, but will be using this welder quite a bit. It works better than a friend of mines high dollar "BLUE" machine. Easy adjustment of wire feed and heat. I'm always a little cautious when you see something that says it will perform as good as the high dollar machines. This time it seems to be correct.
    AMAZING WELDER (Posted on 7/27/2013)
    Review by Jacob
ive used many welders of the last 8 years. this Eastwood welder is by far the best ive ever used. ill agree that the Lincolns and Miilers are the same quality, but the dial for the voltage / wire speed rather than the others that just have a selector is what really makes them better. very high quality, and you cant beat the price. comes with everything youll need except the gas. the spool gun is very nice, and came with aluminum wire also. im in the process of replacing rocker panels, and this is where the dials really shined. the spot welds worked good, but when i was welding the panels to the old thin metal, the best setting was right in the middle of B and C settings. it was still strong enough to penetrate, but not blow through. i also highly recommend the Spot Weld Kit. that thing is really really nice to use for body work. all in all i see no reason for anyone to pay the big bucks for the "name brand" welders, when you can get the eastwwod welders at a much better price. and the quality is outstanding also.
    Works great (Posted on 7/26/2013)
    Review by Tracy
I'm just a back yard mechanic and hobbyist and always wanted my own welder so I decided to pull the trigger on this one and so far it's worked fantastic. No problems at all and I can lay down a bead with the best of them. Since I lack experience the settings guide sure came in handy. I have built several small projects and just last week my lawnmower broke a part on the deck right in the middle of mowing. Had it welded back together and back running in less than 1/2 hr. How did I ever make it all those yrs. without a welder! I have a buddy who's a professional welder and even he was impressed with it.
    Great Value... (Posted on 7/12/2013)
    Review by Thomas
Bought the MIG 175 and Versacut 40 package and you really can't be this package for the price. I've been taxing the MIG 175 with a roll cage I'm installing in my race car and it is handling the task with ease. The plasma cutter has also been used a lot but not quite as much as the welder. But, every time I ask for it to cut, it does its job. No issues...yet.

The only cons I'veI noticed were that one of the contacts for the trigger connection had to be pulled out a little bit as it had fallen back due to being loose and the air regulator is a little chinsy
Damn Good Welder!! (Posted on 6/29/2013)
