My only complaint so far is the nut on the guns tube came loose so I had to pull the gun apart and tighten it down and the DVD they sent wont play on any of my DVD players.Price Value Quality
My first 220 volt welder and so far its melting metal like butter. I have no complaint for extra power like I did on my 110volt welder. -
Fantastic welding machine

Got this welder a couple of months ago and have been using it on varying thicknesses of mild steel, it has a wide range of adjustments to make smooth and effective welds. Have purchased Millermatics and Lincolns in the past for a company I managed, for my home shop I couldn't afford those high priced units. The Eastwood MIG 175 is perfect for my needs and is affordable, haven't tried the spool gun yet, I'm sure it will work just as well.Price Value Quality

Recently purchased a MIG 175 welder for a car fabrication project. Easy to set up (works better with shield gas instead of flux core wire) with a little practice I could produce a good quality weld. A nice feature of this welder is the adjustability of the weld voltage and wire speed. You can "fine tune" the welder to produce a good weld with little difficulty. Overall the MIG 175 is a good bang for your buck.Price Value Quality -

This is my first MIG welder. I have never even held one in my hand before this. The only welding I have done is with TIG and only small part repair for about 20 years. The first few welds I made with this machine looked okay but after about 30 minutes, I was welding small pieces of 16ga. material together left and right. I was really having fun learning what to do and how to do it. Using a chart that shows what to adjust if the weld looks a certain way, I made changes to the settings. I could fine tune the ark to do exactly what I wanted to do with the infinity variable power knob, a lot like the foot peddle on a TIG machine. Thank you Eastwood for a well built machine.Price Value Quality -

This welder is my first welder as well as my first attempt at welding. I set this up and read the recommended settings and laid my first tack welds. I was very happy not only because the machine works but because the metal stuck! This machine even convinced my wife she could weld so she tried it too. Yes, naturally hers looked better than mine (She might read this).Quality Price Value
Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and the quality, I am going to buy the plasma cutter as well. Hopefully I can be as happy with that as I am with this welder.

A buddy of mine who is a welding instructor showed me this brand. He had never used one before and he told me it is a great deal because it is way cheaper the comparable mig welders from Lincoln and Miller. Anyway I got it and it is downright awesome. Took me a little bit of time to get used to it, but after the learning curve everything is wonderful. The spool gun is great. I had a lot of aluminum that I needed to do. It did a great job. I tell everyone that I know about it.Price Value Quality -

After 29 years in the steel fabrication and welding trade. I am very impressed with this machine. I have used many different machines from Lincoln dc 655s to miller 110 units, and this little jewel works perfectly. I have been looking for a small Mig unit for my home but have found that most all small Mig units I have used just do not put out the amps they say. At full power this 175amp unit is smooth and produces a perfect pass with ease and plenty of penetration. It also work equally good at low heat settings on light sheet material. The added spool gun is perfect for aluminum repairs and stainless. But prefer to run the stainless thru the standard gun.Price Value Quality
There are a few little items that seem cheaply made like the wire nuts for the power cables. My suggestion to the end user is make sure that the cable connections are CLEAN and tight. This will reduce the possibility of the plastic cap on the cable nuts from over heating and melting. (Just an observation as I have not had this issue as of yet.)
With a very reasonable price to start with and great performance, I look forward to putting this machine thru the test of time. Over all I give it a 2 thumbs up!
Great Job Eastwood! Very Impressed!!!! -

I recieved the welder and the wire feed would not work. I sent it back to Eastwood at no cost to me and they replaced it with a new one. Great service and the welder is every bit as good as the Lincoln 180, it seems to weld better than my Lincoln. Thanks Eastwood. I liked it so much that I bought the Plasma Cutter.Price Value Quality -

Had to send a welder back due to the wire feed was not working. Once I got the replacement everthing worked like a champ. Ran side by side with a Lincoln 180 and it seemed to run better and the welds were as good or better. Thanks Eastwood. I liked it so much I went ahead and purchased the Plasma Cutter.Price Value Quality -

I've had my welder for 6 months now and I'm very pleased with it. Some people complain about lousy fitment of the front plastic and some other small things. They may be right about that, but I'm not taking my welder to shows. This thing performs flawlessly. You may want to buy a pack of Lincoln tips though. Originals melted easily. I haven't had any problems since I put in the Lincoln tip. What an improvement over my old MIG. I highly recommend this welder for anyone looking for an affordable welder.Price Value Quality
