About Eastwood Thermo-Coustic Sound Deadener Material

Eastwood’s Thermo-Coustic Insulation reduces road noise and engine heat to make your ride more comfortable! The Thermo-Coustic Barrier conforms easily to interior and door panels, with a hi-tack adhesive that lets you install them securely. Each of the 9 sheets are crafted with a .060"-thick layer of sound-deadening butyl rubber material, bonded to a high-performance, heat-reducing aluminum facing, for an overall thickness of 0.063".

Along with a significant reduction in road noise and driveline vibration, these Thermo-Coustic Barrier sheets help keep heat from penetrating your vehicle’s interior. Tests showed performance equivalent to that of the more-expensive major brand, so why pay more? Compare the performance and price to Dynamat liners and see for yourself.

Kit includes 33.75 sq. ft. of material, enough to insulate the most critical portions of your car’s interior and door panels. For more complete coverage, order two kits (particularly if you've removed the factory sound-deadening material during restoration). Imported.

9 sheets per kit. Each sheet is 30" long, 18" wide, 0.063" thick.

I used Eastwood's Thermocaustic on one door and Raammat on the other. Eastwood's sound deadener blew away the Raammat. My panels actually sounded like they were filled with lead after applying the Eastwood product. I had to recoat the Raammat with Eastwood sound deadener to get the same results. The Eastwood Thermocaustic sound deadener is twice as thick and heavy as the Raammat . I will be ordering more Eastwood Sound Deadener for sure. As usual Eastwood sells nothing but great products.

I installed this product with a pair of scissors and It worked great!! I was very impressed with the simplicity of the product and the quality of it also the ease of installing it. It works great and added that extra bit of quietness that my noisy rat truck needed. Thanks Eastwood for an excellent product!!!

I bought this a while back and finally started to install it after prepping the floor with Eastwood's rust stabilizer, which is also an awesome product! The sound deadener material is easy to cut with scissors and allows for a very clean install! I recently started my car with the new cats on it and the side with this stuff installed was much cooler than the side without. I could feel the difference which tells me the stuff works!
I highly recommend this as it is less expensive than the name brand stuff and is just as good if not better in my opinion!

I'm about to begin wiring my 1939 Dodge 4dr sedan, and before I started that I wanted to get the inside of the cowl area sound/heat insulated. I had shopped the various products and was appalled at the price of the “good stuff” (Dynamat) - $200/box locally. I had used that product on a Jeep build I helped one of my sons with, and I liked the way it installed and what it accomplished, but I didn’t like the price.

I saw an ad for the new Eastwood Thermocoustic product so thought I’d give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! It cuts easily, follows compound curves and is a snap to install. It’s REALLY hard to tell any difference between Thermocoustic and Dynamat at this stage, and you get more Thermocoustic in every box!

I haven’t driven the car yet, but I’m ordering three more boxes of Thermocoustic to finish the car off. I’m confident the sound and heat control will be the same as Dynamat. I’m helping a friend build a 1970 Satellite, and we’ll be using Thermocoustic on that car too – it’s a great product.

I'm restoring my ' 67 Cutlass. After prepping the floor with Eastwood products, I wanted to line the interior with a sound deadening and heat resistant material. After reviewing several products out there, I chose Eastwood's Thermo-Coustic. It was very easy to apply, conformed nicely to the odd shapes of my floorboard, cuts and trims easily with a razor knife and adheres great. I would highly recommend this product and the price point is money in your pocket ... Thanks Eastwood !

Am updating a restoration on a 39 Buick and this product is a joy to work with. It cuts and forms to shape with little work. It sticks where you place it and the heat/noise level reduction is superb. Radio is much clearer as well. Exceptional product and exceptionally easy to install!

Put in my 40' hot rod, just finished the firewall and all of the components there in. The Eastwood Material was easy to put on , plus it does a great job I plan to put it in my 34 Ford next, well worth the price, which is a savings from the "other" name brand..Very pleased with the product, I recommend it to anyone that wants to shut out noise and heat.. I live in Az 112 today ,so heat out is important.

Dynamat is the brand leader in sound/heat barriers. Others soon followed. All are priced too high. Now comes Eastwood. I compared the Eastwood product to Dynamat's specifications and chose to spend my money wisely. Another winner for Eastwood.
