About Eastwood Thermo-Coustic Sound Deadener Material
Eastwood’s Thermo-Coustic Insulation reduces road noise and engine heat to make your ride more comfortable! The Thermo-Coustic Barrier conforms easily to interior and door panels, with a hi-tack adhesive that lets you install them securely. Each of the 9 sheets are crafted with a .060"-thick layer of sound-deadening butyl rubber material, bonded to a high-performance, heat-reducing aluminum facing, for an overall thickness of 0.063".
Along with a significant reduction in road noise and driveline vibration, these Thermo-Coustic Barrier sheets help keep heat from penetrating your vehicle’s interior. Tests showed performance equivalent to that of the more-expensive major brand, so why pay more? Compare the performance and price to Dynamat liners and see for yourself.
Kit includes 33.75 sq. ft. of material, enough to insulate the most critical portions of your car’s interior and door panels. For more complete coverage, order two kits (particularly if you've removed the factory sound-deadening material during restoration). Imported.
9 sheets per kit. Each sheet is 30" long, 18" wide, 0.063" thick.

This material was very easy to install in my 72 corvette. Seems like its going to be great at reducing road noise and heat but I won't know for a few more months til the car is back on the road. I'm anxious to find out!Value Quality Price -

I have applied this material to the inside of door skins on 3 vehicles. It is simply amazing how well it deadens road noise...even the sound when you close the door is a solid thud. I am now buying more to place additional on the floor boards and trunk. Great stuff!Value Quality Price -

I found this Eastwood product easy to use. The adhesive works well, the material cuts easily. With the use of a roller the material conforms to the surface very well. I found this product to be at a good price compared to many other similar products offered in the Automotive world. I recommend a BUY.Value Quality Price -

I installed the material on the floorboards of my 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix. It was exceptionally easy to put in, better than another product used in the past. It conforms easily, adheres very well, and the package was adequate to do the entire floor. Unfortunately, the headliner was already in place, so I won't take it out to do the top, but I am looking forward to putting the car on the road to see just how cool and quiet it will be!! Kudos to Eastwood for bringing this to the restoration marketplace!!Value Quality Price -

Insulating and fitting carpet in our 1968 Dodge Charger has been the order of business lately. We chose to go with Eastwood’s Thermo-Coustic Barrier as the insulation for the firewall and floor pans. As I’m sure is the case with many who enjoy restoring older vehicles we have limited funds with which we must make do. Consequently, when we read Eastwood’s product killed noise and heat as well as some of the higher priced products available we chose to use it.Value Quality Price
We used a lesser amount of a similar product when restoring our 1968 Dodge Coronet. Simply covering the firewall made a marked improvement in the amount of heat and noise coming from the engine. In comparison, we are installing much more insulation as part of this project and doing so at a reasonable cost.
Eastwood’s product seemed a bit more difficult to install than the brand we used previously. With both products it was difficult keeping straight lines because of the dips and bends in the surfaces. One noticed difference is that the Eastwood product seems to have a sticker liner. The stickiness is both a plus and a minus. It’s good in that it adheres easily thus stays where it is put. Conversely, the stickier compound makes removing the peal off backing and clean up more difficult. It also has a tendency to stick to whatever implement is being used to cut it.
However, the low price charged for the 33.75 square feet of material more than offset any issues we have with the product. If it reduces noise and heat as much as it is touted to do, we will be happy campers.

In the past I had used a foil type bubble wrap for sound and heat deadening. Restoring a 69 GTX and wanted a self sticking quality product and Eastwood Thermo-Coustic material worked better then expected. I also cut some strips to go on inside of doors. Thank you Eastwood!Value Quality Price -

I bought this product to put on the floor of my 68 Plymouth Fury. When I opened it and found how sticky and easly cut and formed it is, I decided I would use it under the engine cover (dog house) in my MotorHome. To say it stops the heat and engine noise from that big 460 Ford would be an understatement. It's like I bought a new RV when I'm driving. Can't wait to put it in my Plymouth.Value Quality Price
