Great Gun! (Posted on 3/26/13)

I am a complete novice painter and I just shot clear coat over a tri-color repaint of a Ducati F1 in my garage using the Concours Mini HVLP and a 15 gal compressor. The base colors went on very smooth. I added 1/4 turn to the paint volume control and 1/4 turn to the air pressure control and shot the clear coat. It covered very well with very little texture. The gun is small enough to fit inside the fairing pieces and yet I can set the fan to about 5" for larger surfaces. I am not a big fan of the aluminum control knobs, which seem a little cheap, but they work just fine. The rest of the gun is good quality. My compressor kept up easily. Adjustment of the fluid needle gland nut can be touchy (either leaks or sticks), but perhaps all guns are like that? I used Valspar paint, which is awesome material.

Thanks Eastwood!
