Bicarbonate soda will not harm glass, plastics, and fiberglass or chrome surfaces. It is used to remove paint coatings from the vehicle without etching the surface or changes of warping like more aggressive Medias. It is the best way to strip fiberglass corvettes, boats or aftermarket hoods. Also used to remove paint from urethane and SMC type bumper fascias. This unit can also be converted to utilize standard abrasive medias such as crushed glass, aluminum oxide, etc with the included abrasive kit.
Use a properly fitted dust mask or respirator, safety glass or safety shield, heavy gloves and long pants and a long sleeve shirt to protect any exposed skin. Use our safety kit # 50097 for complete protection. Assure the dead man valve is operating properly by depressing the valve lever and releasing-assuring it closes over the nozzle under its own spring pressure. If not, do not use the dead man valve until the spring or obstruction is repaired.

This blaster worked pretty good at first. I have had to splice the hose three times now do to it busting a leak. I keep the pressure around 80lbs for small jobs, which I do a lot. Eastwood doesn't sell the hose and good luck finding a quality hose at your local hardware store!Quality Price Value
