About Eastwood 50-lb. Soda Blaster
50 lb capacity comes complete "ready to use" except for your air fitting coupler to match your air lines. Simple bolt together construction will have you blasting in about 45 minutes. We suggest using an approved respirator such as what you should use when painting along with goggles and gloves. The overall size of the unit is approximately 36" high with handles and about 24" diameter so it will easily store in the corner of the shop or garage. This unit requires 10 cfm @ 90 psi.
Includes both Abrasive and soda blast assemblies, weighs approximately 40 lbs.
The 12256 soda Blaster is very simple to use once you have read and understood the included instruction manual. The unit will utilize any of our bicarbonate soda medias and operate at 100 psi to project a stream of media about 3" in diameter at the surface for quick coating removal.
Use replacement nozzles: #12111 3-pack of the 2.5mm nozzle Media choices: Aggressive removal of multiple coatings on steel: #50494 $59.99 11806 Medium size crystals with moisture control for removal of paint on any surface $39.99 50417 Galvanized funnel with sifter screen $17.99
Bicarbonate soda will not harm glass, plastics, and fiberglass or chrome surfaces. It is used to remove paint coatings from the vehicle without etching the surface or changes of warping like more aggressive Medias. It is the best way to strip fiberglass corvettes, boats or aftermarket hoods. Also used to remove paint from urethane and SMC type bumper fascias. This unit can also be converted to utilize standard abrasive medias such as crushed glass, aluminum oxide, etc with the included abrasive kit.
Use a properly fitted dust mask or respirator, safety glass or safety shield, heavy gloves and long pants and a long sleeve shirt to protect any exposed skin. Use our safety kit # 50097 for complete protection. Assure the dead man valve is operating properly by depressing the valve lever and releasing-assuring it closes over the nozzle under its own spring pressure. If not, do not use the dead man valve until the spring or obstruction is repaired.
