I will agree this cart is not exactly universal. It's not even the same one in the picture. I drilled some new holes in it and turned the top shelf 180 deg and the problem solved. I have used the welder with some .030 flux core wire on some scrap and it seems to work well, the helmet works great!

Overall good product, but please stop advertising that it comes with a welding helmet. I don't feel that the handheld facemask qualifies as a helmet. Would have purchased anyway. Thanks

I tried the welder today, welder works perfectly, as far as the cart , its not the proper cart for this welder, welder access door on right side, cart is designed for a welder with an access door on left, cart tray lip in the way to open, eastwood forum told me to lift welder up when opening.

I started using this rig the other day and built a rotary cloths pole. Out of the box and on to the cart in minutes set up and running. Some quick adjustments for power and feed and it was off to the races. Nice unit!

I shopped the major brands and this welder seemed to have the best features for the price. Setup instructions could have been a little more detailed for the person who has not owned one before. Had some trouble getting the wire feed to start up the first time but it did after 3 or 4 minutes of fiddling and it seems to be OK. Have not bought a bottle yet, but have done several small jobs with the flux core wire provided with good results.
