I was nervous purchasing this welder due to low cost and i have always had the name brands.
when recieved, i was dissapointed it kinda looked used. after more careful inspection, I found it had not been assembled for use so i must be incorrect. the thing was packed as new, but was dirty inside. Yes, Inside the welder as if the lid was left in my shop for a couple of months. I cleaned it out and welded some 1/4" steel. i was impressed. just finished a set of headers, although it took awhile to get used to the adjustments, It really works well. Hope i can say that in a few years.
So yes, i would buy again, hope i would see an improvement in the cleanliness of the welder and paint quality.
PS, the cart should fit with the welder, without modifications or leaving the door open!

Sold my Lincoln 135 Pro Mig to buy this unit. The cart needs a better design to allow the side door to open, (easy fix by flipping the top self over and lowering it in the back. The standard gun with infinite adjustability on both wire feed and voltage gets great penetration with steel. Swapped on the spool gun and the pure argon tank and was amazed to see how effectively I was able to weld alumni with only 15 to 20 min of practice. Extremely happy with the kit. Helmet is a god send over standard flip masks. Welder works great on everything I've tested so far from steel to aluminum . All I would suggest is a better design on the cart to make side door access better and to make it carry 2 tanks one for pure argon and one for CO2/ Argon mix

I upgraded from a 90amp 115 volt mig welder, I have been waiting for a good priced welder, well, this is the one to get, It performs like a welder that is twice the price. Got the cart, auto dimming helmet and the aluminum spool gun all at much less that other welders alone in this category.

This is a great welder! The compact design makes the welder an asset for off site work provided the power supply is available. It does the job of much more bulkier and heavier welders. The efficiency is superb, excellent penetration with the ability to perform a full range of welding styles on various type metals with little or no stand-by. The duty cycle allows for pretty much continuous welding with little effort for most automotive applications. The added ability to handle aluminum is an included feature not available (except at an added cost) with other machines.
What a great welder! (Posted on 5/27/10)

I own many MIGs and TIG welders, Lincoln sp100, precision Tig 175 and Miller Matic 140 and was ready for something with more amperage and that could weld (mig) alluminum. Wow is all I can say, best bang for the buck hands down. I have used my Mig 175 for a month so far and can't believe how much better it welds compared to the above. The only thing that needs future improvement is the mig gun cable lenght, as it's a little short compared to my others. Great all around buy for almost half the price!

I was aprehensive when I first got my Eastwood 175 mig welder. I followed the directions that came with the welder along with suggested settings for different metals under the lid that you
unlatch on the welder. I ended up with a pretty good looking weld when I practiced welding on some scrap metal I had in my shop. If you want professional results at a very reasonable price, get yourself a Eastwood Mig welder.
