About Eastwood Internal Frame Coating w/Spray Nozzle
Use our Internal Frame Coating to make your chassis rust-free throughout! Tough phenolic resin penetrates, converts and encapsulates the rust on the internal surface, and zinc phosphate seals it to prevent future corrosion. Penetrates under the heaviest surface rust. If not treated, the metal surface will continue to rust and begin to show as paint flaking, pin holes or even worse—structural frame failure.
14-oz. aerosol can includes an 24"-long extension tube with conical nozzle that reaches in to apply the coating in a radial spray pattern for complete coverage. Insert into bolt holes, lightening holes and any open access area in the frame. Spray using a back or forth motion to cover entire internal frame area. Two 14-oz. aerosol cans are required for a subframe vehicle, 3 cans for a full-frame vehicle or truck. Fully cures in 24 hours. Made in the USA.
Due to regulations pertaining to paint recycling, at this time we are unable to ship this product to Alberta, Canada.

I am in the process of restoring two uni-body vehicles. Both will be drivers, but I am giving them a near show quality restoration. A lot of work that I don't want to do again for a VERY long time.Price Value Quality
That being said, I am willing to spend a little extra time (and money) sealing up those tough-to-reach places. So far I did the frame structure of the deck lid that I had soda blasted. I applied it everywhere I could reach until it ran out from under the seams. It flows pretty well, and is a bit runny, so it can travel into tight recess that a simple spray alone might not otherwise reach. I am very pleased without the results, although it did take a couple minutes to get the hang of applying it.
At $20 a can, its expensive. No two ways about it. BUT, it is a large can. And, I would probably be spending about $10 to get the equivalent amount of paint without the delivery system, the special formulations, or the benefit of the improved coverage.
At the end of the day, the decision is pretty simple. If you are spending any amount of effort or money on your vehicles restoration, BUY THIS PRODUCT. I can't see needing more than 3-4 cans to do every recess in your vehicle. And for $60-$80 to be able to get in just about every place on your vehicle that you can't otherwise protect (i.e. all you guys who are dipping your vehicles) it's cheap insurance. -

very easy to use, but I have a fully boxed frame on a 1970 GM A body convertible. I used two cans, and easily need two or even three more. I inspected the inside with a light and a mirror, and did notice places with uneven coverage. I also wondered why Eastwood didn't just put Rust Encapsulator in a can with a spray wand. The wand works great, and I thought RE was supposed to be the ultimate rust treatment. Just wondering.Value Quality Price -
Should be good with a little innovation.

I am doing all the unibody channels on a '73 Cougar convertible. The rockers are 75" long- too long to reach with an 18' wand, and I use the term wand loosely- it's like a limp noodle. I put two of the tubing sections together with a small piece of brass tubing- it looks kike a piece uf brake tubing would work. I taped them to a 4' long 1/4" rod. Insert the rod, and start spraying as you slowly remove the rod. Also, cover all the access holes with transparent tape--you'll be able to see coverage without making a mess.Value Quality Price -

I bought 2 cans to do the inside of my '67 Camaro Sub-frame. Works great, covered good. I highly recommend watching the Video first. I had no problems. I think secret is to shake very well, and move as fast as possible. And shake again whenever possible. I am very pleased with ease, and coverage. Only time will tell as for longevity. Great Product!Value Quality Price -

I bought three cans of the Internal Frame Coating to use on the boxed areas of my 69 GTO convertible... I probably should have bought four though.Value Quality Price
It was very easy to use and seemed to cover the visible areas fairly well.
You definitely need eye protection though as it will spray out through any holes as you move the tube.
The only issue I had was that trying to "snake" the plastic tube into the frame sometimes didn't always work as expected because it kinked up...so I'm not sure I covered all surfaces completely. That may be part of the reason I used three cans and really should have had four.
I think that if the tube was just a little more rigid, it would work better. Also, as another user posted, it would be better if it was black. Unless you don't care about the ugly greenish yellow color, you'll need to paint over it through the holes in the frame etc.
However, I am very confident it will work well just like all the other Eastwood products I've purchased. -

I just used 2 cans on my '99 Pathfinders uni-body frame. seems to really work well at coating and creeping into the frame. I am hoping it helps stave off the dreaded frame rot, time will tell. The new nozzle with the built on hose really worked awesome for me. I think I will order maybe one or two more cans, just to be sure I have it all SUPER coated as I do already have some surface rust starting. better safe than sorry, and a few cans sure beats uni-body repair later down the road! I think this is WELL worth trying,I have always had great luck with other products from eastwood and have no reason to think this wont work great. Thanks!Value Quality Price -
