I used this in the rocker panels on my 65 VW squareback. No access from anywhere but the trim holes, so just poked the hose in and sprayed everywhere up and down the rocker. I tried it out in a pop bottle and it coated everywhere pretty well so I think it should coat inside the rockers easily.
    Great idea!

Eastwood has impressed me for years as a company that not only sell top quality products but continues to think outside of the box for ways to help us slavage and restore items of value.

Not just for the classic car restorer but for the working guy just trying to keep his vehicle running.

    Kudos keep it up.
okay results, needs a few more bugs worked out and is overpriced (Posted on 8/9/2010)

I've been needing something like this for some time. Was just about to design my own system when this came out. Kudos to Eastwood for bringing this on the restoration market.

Very difficult and messy to use and clean. Had to cut the special end off the tubing to clean it thoroughly thus making the tubing shorter. For this price you should have gotten more tubing and an extra can of frame coating.

Eastwood has a way of selling these simple things that - while they are helpful to the restorer - they are usually poorly engineered and always overpriced. This system is no exception.

Eastwood needs to work at giving their customers more value in these tough economic times.

Used two cans to coat the inside of the boxed frame on my 66 GTO convertible. I am doing a frame off restoration and had the frame up on saw horses. It was very easy to use this way and did a great job of coating the insides. As a prep I had gone around all sides of the frame and pounded on it with a 3 pound hammer. Then blew it out with an air compressor. Finally, I fished a strong magnet down the frame rails, several times to get out the last of the debris. I'll be ordering more cans to do inside of the doors and rear side window areas to protect them.

I had been trying to dream up something like this to paint the inside of my frame, until I stumbled upon this product. Thank you Eastwood, it came out just as I was nearing the frame painting stage of my project (frame on the car).

Pros- Makes a fairly easy job of getting the rust encapsulator in those hard to reach areas.

    Cons- (minor quibbles, really)
-I had some trouble with the brass fitting that pushes into the can’s nozzle. By holding the clear hose just behind the brass fitting, you can prevent it from pushing into the hose, rather than into the spray can nozzle. Sounds like that has been fixed.

-I wish it came in black so I would not have to go back and spray the areas visible from the holes in the frame. I suppose I could just repeat the treatment with black paint, but one step would be nice for such a messy project (this is frame on the car, so I am on my back spraying the frame above me).

    Observations-
As you pull or push the spray nozzle inside the frame, it helps to use a jerking/jiggling motion to help the nozzle flop around, which spreads the spray around.

I used to waste a lot of paint trying to coat the inner frame of my Isuzu diesel pup projects. I would lift the frame up with my tractor and pour paint through the frame and let it run through. Then I would turn the frame and do it all again.

This is a fantastic product and saves me so much time, and it really covers well and probably does a much better job than the way I was doing it as far as coverage is concerned. Thanks EASTWOOD!!

I ordered 4 cans for my frame and used all 4 as it is hard to tell the coverage inside the frame. Better to use a little extra than not enough. Happy with results.

for first time trying, i should've bought two cans for my subframe. by the time i got the jist of it, i had used it all up and missed some spots, but they should get covered when i paint. i cant say how well it holds up yet, but seems to have done a good job. i would buy this again for the next project.

I ordered and used 2 cans for painting the inside of my heater channels and other nooks and crannies.

First of all, I read some customer reviews on other websites where there were problems with the spray nozzle popping off. . . this problem has been resolved by re-engineering the extension tube. It now comes attached to its own spray button, not pushed into the button like WD-40. No problems with this whatsoever.

I used one can to paint inside of my heater tubes, front and back sections of the heater channels, front firewall and napoleon hat. I used a second can painting inside of the heater channels, around the heater tubes and giving the inside of the heater tubes a second coat, as well as the front and rear sections of heater channel.

This stuff goes on with the consistency of water, but leaves a nice, full coating.

I am ordering 2 more cans to get down inside of the front door hinge sections down to the heater channels.
