About Eastwood Internal Frame Coating w/Spray Nozzle

Use our Internal Frame Coating to make your chassis rust-free throughout! Tough phenolic resin penetrates, converts and encapsulates the rust on the internal surface, and zinc phosphate seals it to prevent future corrosion. Penetrates under the heaviest surface rust. If not treated, the metal surface will continue to rust and begin to show as paint flaking, pin holes or even worse—structural frame failure.

14-oz. aerosol can includes an 24"-long extension tube with conical nozzle that reaches in to apply the coating in a radial spray pattern for complete coverage. Insert into bolt holes, lightening holes and any open access area in the frame. Spray using a back or forth motion to cover entire internal frame area. Two 14-oz. aerosol cans are required for a subframe vehicle, 3 cans for a full-frame vehicle or truck. Fully cures in 24 hours. Made in the USA.

Due to regulations pertaining to paint recycling, at this time we are unable to ship this product to Alberta, Canada.

I sandblasted my frame with the body on the frame.I had to do something with the areas i couldn't get into to blast. This worked perfect for what i wanted to do.I bought 4 cans and wished i gotten 6 or 8.I could have done all the boxed frame area with 4, but i wanted to blast inside of all the floor pans braces and trunk braces.I was able to spray everything from the rear of the frame to the front of the frame , up to the engine bay area.2 more cans and i will have the rest of frame done.I sprayed the heck out of the rear portion of the frame from midway back, where most of the rust was worse.TIP: i saw some comments about nozzles coming off. I took a small paper clip and used part of the clip and coiled it tighly around the nozzle, where the lip on the brass fitting and coiled down to the bottom of the brass fitting. i used a neddlenose plier and and regular plier to do that. I didnt have any issues with nozzle or spray patterns. I just used two of the long tubes for 4 cans, so i didn't have to make any more coiled tips right away.Just get 8 cans and that will coat everything twice over if your real picky about stuff like this.I am going to get a couple of the black cans to cover the green paint for the visible areas because it is a show car.

Seems like a good idea, and I have had good results with other Eastwood products. However, the sprayer would not attach to the can properly, and I was unable to use the product as intended.

I like the product, I like the idea of it, but the applicator nozzle needs a lot of work otherwise you waste most of the product and your time. I have a borescope, so after I coated the inside of my challengers frame rails (if you wanna call'em that) I checked how well it coated. on the shorter rails, like the ones under the floorpan, it covers well. However- on the taller rails i.e. the front frame rails in the engine comp. or the ones under the trunk pan, the top third is uncoated. It would help if they designed the nozzel with some vertical holes and shrank their overall size a bit. I used 3 cans trying to get the coverage I needed but no dice. This stuff would be great, if the applicator were redisigned.

Used this on my 87 Chevy Monte Carlo SS. I sprayed it in the spaces between the inner and outer body panels and from the spots I could view it coated very well. I used 5 cans on the body.

Can't speak for the rust proofing abilities yet, but the nozzle and long tube make for excellent coverage of impossible to reach areas. Application to the rocker panels and wheel wells for my Geo took about a can and a half for one side, and I am confident I hit every nook and cranny.

EastWoods constant badgering for reviews and more purchases is a bit annoying though. If the product works we will come back for more. Simple enoug.

Used it to treat a fully boxed and x'ed street rod frame. Material worked as described and the hose and spray nozzle worked better than expected. Price seems right for the product when considering the accompanying spray tube and nozzle. Once I got the feel for spray coverage I was able to manage the entire frame and support box tubing with by 4 can order. Time will tell if the product lives up to it's advertising but judging from test pieces expose to weather it should be as good as claimed. I will be ordering more for other projects.

I used this stuff and I thought it was crap... I sprayed it light for the first 2 coats then started to cover heavier.. So I sprayed it on good and it flacked and rusted through... I'll spend more and buy the rust encapulator it's worth it... Atleast it never rusted...
Works well! (Posted on 8/5/11)

This stuff does the trick! The nozzle coats 360 degrees as advertised. The coating is very low viscosity and sets up slowly so it permeates into cracks and crevices as needed. Hint: Use a red marker to put a mark around the tube about an inch from the nozzle. This will help you to know where the nozzle is as you pull the tube and nozzle back towards the opening. This will prevent the surprise of pulling the nozzle out while still spraying. It took 2 cans to do a fully boxed frame on my 29 Chevy.

I ordered this spray on monday it arrived on wednesday, fast shipping indeed.

I used this spray to coat inside my 98 ranger's rocker panels and boxed forward frame areas. I ordered two cans and managed to get two completely saturated coats on both the rockers and frame. The nozzle worked great for me, no failures and the spray pattern was very good.

The only thing to note is that you may want to either tape off the areas your coating or have some paint thinner on hand because this stuff is sticky. It will get everywhere if there is a breeze.

Can't speak for it's rustproofing yet but it does get into every nook and cranny, and I'm sure it will hold up just fine. Highly recommend.
