About Eastwood Internal Frame Coating w/Spray Nozzle

Use our Internal Frame Coating to make your chassis rust-free throughout! Tough phenolic resin penetrates, converts and encapsulates the rust on the internal surface, and zinc phosphate seals it to prevent future corrosion. Penetrates under the heaviest surface rust. If not treated, the metal surface will continue to rust and begin to show as paint flaking, pin holes or even worse—structural frame failure.

14-oz. aerosol can includes an 24"-long extension tube with conical nozzle that reaches in to apply the coating in a radial spray pattern for complete coverage. Insert into bolt holes, lightening holes and any open access area in the frame. Spray using a back or forth motion to cover entire internal frame area. Two 14-oz. aerosol cans are required for a subframe vehicle, 3 cans for a full-frame vehicle or truck. Fully cures in 24 hours. Made in the USA.

Due to regulations pertaining to paint recycling, at this time we are unable to ship this product to Alberta, Canada.

"Gluing" the nozzle to the flexible tube may or may not work. You will find out when it comes off in a non-accessible location. Use safety wire or equivalent to physically secure the nozzle to the tube.
no other product like it. (Posted on 6/24/11)

We used this to seal any remaining rust on the inside of a Miata rocker panel (not enough to justify a new panel), and it worked perfect. I won't know how well for several years, but will only know if rust comes back. So we'll look at it as "no news is good news". The product was great, and definitely made the difference in getting to otherwise impossible to reach spaces.

I had always wanted to use this product on my older Celica daily driver, since rust-through always seems to be an issue with Toyotas. I bought two cans of it & was able to get all main areas I wanted to coat (rockers & rear rails). I knew the product was doing its job once it began seeping out of all the access holes.

Now that I've been able to see how well it works on my daily driver, I plan on purchasing a plug kit & carefully masking off the frame on my Challenger project & getting everything protected on the inside...Not getting any seepage will be the key, though, since it's already been painted & cleared underneath.

I just wanted to add my input for the product. I happened to be lucky enough when Eastwood was running a special offer on the product so I picked up 4 cans for my 65 Mustang 2+2.

I used a little over three full cans. After coating the front and rear sub frame sections I used the product to coat anywhere I thought would be appropriate including rocker panels, a pillar panels, boxed in sections of roof toward outer edge and generally any boxed in area that had some rust already forming. It was easy to use and I didn't have to worry too much about over spraying and runnoff due to a drop cloth and have my car on a rotisserie in full restoration mode. I am hoping this will make the car hold together another 40 years.

To be honest though whether or not the product works, I think one of the best things is the applicator nozzle/hose/diffuser tip. I had no issues with mine falling off, and actually only used one of the 4 that I got. Just used a little PRE to clean out the innside and outside and I still have 4 for whatever else I need it for.

I normally sandblast & powder coat all my rusty parts, but what do you do when the car body & frame are rusty them selves?

I bought 2 cans of the internal frame coating. This stuff works great! This stuff goes a long way, it covered way more than I thought 2 cans would. Used them in my 99 Infiniti G20 which is a huge rust bucket. Sprayed down tons of the unibody frame rails up front, along the sides ect. With the extension nozzle I did not have to disassemble the car what so ever, I was able to snake it in different holes.

This stuff is messy (as it should be with any good product). Wear rubber gloves , long sleeves or painters tyvek overalls & safety glassed. This will make a mess on your garage floor as it drips out of the different passages of the frame. I was able to clean out the nozzle & tube with a can of brake cleaner, I did not have any prep solvent or pre around.

Over all a good deal for the price of 19.99 but could be a little cheaper for maximum value, or come in one of the large cans like chassis Kleen.

This is a great product and I have used it twice now. The only problem is the price. If it wasn't so pricey I would buy more. It is good for more than just internal frames. I use it anywhere I can not reach to paint. I coated the inside of the vent cowls by the kick panels, the inside of the floor pan supports, the inside of the door seals, doors, and quarter windows, and the inside of the roof supports and sail panels. It is great stuff but does not go very far and is a too expensive.

This stuf was very easy to use, and the nozle will fit through a 3/16 hole so you can get it just about everywhere within your frame very simply. It flows very well, albiet a bit messily at times, and seems to cover very well inside the frame. It took 4 cans to do the inside of my TR6 frame. The only problem I have with the stuff is the outrageously expensive cost. A TR6 is a tiny car, and it takes 4 cans, I'd hate to do anything larger just from the pain it would give my wallet !
good but the price is too high (Posted on 3/27/11)

great product, get some super glue prior to glue the nozzle on. It works as advertised. VERY IMPORTANT: prep and cover all holes or you will end up with green coating over everything. Prep is key. Also if it is not a frame off, use a power washer, vacuum or whatever you can to get the crap out of your frame it will work better. Eastwood should give a price break on this stuff as you don't get a lot and it goes VERY fast. Overall I am happy but the cost is hight

This is a good product, wish it was a little more reasonable as have other areas would like to use it.

But for the important parts you can't get into to protect, and with the value of the vehicle, this is the way to go.
