"paint went down very well, the problem was that the first gallon of blue was purple, shot half the jeep, had to sand it out and Eastwood sent the proper color....after that all went well
Painting Noob Success! (Posted on 3/12/2014)

This is my first paint job and I chose this type of paint for its simplicity. The color is brilliant and once I got my gun dialed in it sprayed like glass. Got a few runs that I attribute to mediocre lighting in my garage. I get compliments all the time and people are blown away when I tell them I painted it myself. The paint itself was simplicity to use. If you can read a measuring cup then you can mix this paint right every time. With a quality gun and good prep you can achieve professional results at a fraction of the cost, great for those with more time than money. For my little Miata the baseline price was $2500 from a good body shop (which is over twice what I paid for the car), my consumables were barely 1/5 of that and the results are what I would expect from a pro shop. FYI, I used a CA Technologies Techline T3 HVLP Gravity feed gun which I can't recommend enough. It's a mid priced gun but it's performance is stellar, I imagine it performs on par with guns 3 times the price. Overall I would definitely order this product again, the colors look amazing and the product is an excellent performer.

I was concerned about the quality of this paint at first due to it's low price. But I took the plunge anyway and now I'm glad I did. The paint sprayed beautifully through my DeVilbiss Starting Line gun. The gloss is awesome! I laid down two coats and could have stopped there. That's how good it looked. But, I went one further by spraying two coats of their European Clear. This is by far the best paint job of the six or so I've done over the years. If you have any doubts on this paint, well get over it! Why pay twice the price for DuPont or PPG when you can buy this at the same quality?
