Q: Do I need a clear?
A: No, but you should use one over metallics.
Q: How much paint do I need?
A: Typically one gallon per car. If you are painting jams, under hood, under the trunk, use 2 gallons. For large cars and pick up trucks, 2 gallons. Number of coats, prep and application methods will affect the amount of paint required.

Excellent Paint!

I was concerned about the quality of this paint at first due to it's low price. But I took the plunge anyway and now I'm glad I did. The paint sprayed beautifully through my DeVilbiss Starting Line gun. The gloss is awesome! I laid down two coats and could have stopped there. That's how good it looked. But, I went one further by spraying two coats of their European Clear. This is by far the best paint job of the six or so I've done over the years. If you have any doubts on this paint, well get over it! Why pay twice the price for DuPont or PPG when you can buy this at the same quality?Value Quality Price
