About Carb Renew 2 Bronze Aerosol 5 OZ

Newly reformulated Carb Renew2 has improved fuel resistance and durability compared to our original formula, and still restores the OEM factory bronze appearance found on most carburetors. Carb Renew2 is a translucent acrylic enamel that is resistant to fuel and most additives, and withstands up to 300 degreesF. Produces a natural 3-8% gloss. Carb Renew2 comes in a 5-oz. aerosol, enough to cover about 2 sq. ft.

Due to regulations pertaining to paint recycling, at this time we are unable to ship this product to Alberta, Canada.
5-oz. Carb Renew2 aerosol
Since Carb Renew2 is translucent, it's very important to thoroughly clean the surface and bring the base metal to a uniform look. While your carburetor is apart and all jets are removed, simply spray Carb Renew2 on the exterior of the thoroughly cleaned bowl cover and main body. Apply in very light coats to replicate original plating.
Please read and follow label instructions carefully. Always wear eye, skin and respiratory protection, and use in a well-ventilated area. Consult the MSDS for specific warnings and precautions.

This coating will give a good stock appearance BUT you must use an aluminum or silver color base coat AND you must use a clear coat over top of it as it is definitely not fuel proof without it. It is better than the old stuff it replaced as you don't have to worry about squirt of white stuff to start the spray like its predecessor. I don't recommend its sister aluminum color because it goes on gray, unlike it's predecessor. I'm sure I have bought and used at least 50-60 cans of this stuff over the years as it is the only one on the market in spite of its shortcoming that matches the original bronze tones. Use, but with care.

I'm sorry that I bought the "bronze" paint as it turns GREEN when it's used. If there is something that I can do to prevent that, please advise. Save your money and buy just standard old paint at the auto parts stores. I never thought Eastwood would do this to it's customers. This junk is waaaaaay over priced and defective. Sorry Eastwood.....

I use the carb renew bronze and silver all the time rebuilding Quadrajets.

It is an excellent product, and the carb renew II covers better than the original.

It is a paint, not a plating. Dont expect it to stand up to carb cleaner.

It holds up well against gas, like its intended to. But dont touch the paint while its covered in gas it will smear. Let it dry and it dries up solid.

I have NEVER had this product peel off a carb after literally hundreds of Quadrajet builds.

price is high at $15 but getting better at $8.99

I bought this (and the silver carb renew) before reviews were posted about it for my Rochester 2 barrel. Please pay attention to our reviews.

At first it looks great and you'll feel impressed, BUT spray one drop of carb cleaner or fuel on it and it peels off right away.

The only benefit is removing it all is a snap, just spraying some carb cleaner on it lets you wipe it off in 5 minutes...

I too have used the bronze paint on my Rochester 2 jet carbs and have not had the results I expected from Eastwood. I also followed the instructions to the letter, but the paint still continues to peel off. I would not recommend this paint to anyone.

Paint does not work as advertised. I followed the instruction perfectly and was rewarded by paint that INSTANTLY reacted to the smallest amount of fuel. Just setting the float levels on my Holley DP destroyed the paint on the front and back of the carb.

DO NOT BUY.
