Great product for the price! (Posted on 4/26/2013)

I have used premixed paints but never a real paint system. This worked out beautiful. I used DeVilbiss gun and modest air compressor with basic filtration. All paint and primer is Eastwood low VOC urethane or epoxy primer. The black stipes and borders are Eastwood's hot rod black. Most flaws are so small that you can't see them without me pointing them out. The urethane paint is easy to apply and to color sand. I shot this car in my garage. Any flaws are due to my lack of experience. The only thing that would prevent me from doing this kind of project again is the amount of cheeto dust (orange overspray) that went everywhere. I have decided to call the car Chester Cheetah because of this. With a proper space and ventilation to work in I would shoot another car in a heartbeat.
COmpared with Dupont Chromavision (Posted on 4/24/2013)

OK team- I never write reviews unless there is compelling reason to aid in the product marketing. I have been working on a 1971 SS Camaro, hugger orange car. I was starting to use DuPont’s Chroma vision line with Chroma Premier clear. I was not happy with how thin and the number of coats that was required to cover while completing the jams. I thought a quart plus activator (1:1 mix) should cover. So I decided to give this product a try, I figured that it runs 1/3 the price when comparing base material, so if it does not pan out I am not out a ton of cash. So I prepped my gun (Sharpe with 1.5 tip) and started to spray…at first I thought my eyes popped out when shooting the trunk and re-jam the rest of the car. The material flowed so nicely, and covered in one pass. This is the best orange I have used, period. I will note that it is a slightly more orange when comparing it to DuPont’s color, but unless you have 2 panels side by side you will not be able to tell the difference.
Like the color , not happy with the packing (Posted on 10/13/2012)

I have not used the paint yet. Waiting for two warm days in a row. Spraying outside. Not happy with the way the can of paint was packed in the box. It came with the lid popped open and about 2-3 oz. of paint spilled inside the plastic bag. Good thing it was in a plastic bag. I do like the color though.
