About Eastwood Versa Cut Plasma Cutter
This innovative, affordable, plasma cutter was designed and developed by Eastwood's own R&D staff, and tested in-house on the same type of real-life projects you'll use it for. It doesn't matter where you need to work, because this plasma cutter's voltage-sensing technology lets you use either a 110v or 220v outlet with our adapter cord. Works with any standard home- or shop-type air compressor within a range of 20-65 psi; internal moisture separator ensures dry air is delivered to the torch. Rated 140 volts at 40 amps. Duty cycle: 60% at 40 amps. Weighs less than 30 lbs., for easier portability.
What is "Plasma Cutting"? Plasma cutting utilizes a high-velocity jet of ionized gas (plasma) that conducts electricity from the torch of the plasma cutter to your metal workpiece. That directed plasma stream (about 30,000 degrees F) heats the workpiece, converting the metal to molten slag. That high-velocity stream literally blows the molten metal away, leaving a clean, precise cut.

Quality Price Value finally hooked up the air drier and used it last night, I have to say WOW I cut 1/8" angle then a pice of 1/4 and went through it like butter very clean cuts the first time I used it. After the 1/4" angle I went to a pice of 1/2" plate, know that is thicker than recommended but cut it just fine no problrms at all.
So far I am very Impressed and satisfied with it.
Thanks for another great machine, It goes great with my Eastwood mig 175 -

Well worth the money

Quality Price Value We were one of the pre-orders of the Plasma Cutter.
Received the unit in very good condition. I had to prep the connection for power, and we were off and running.
We are restoring a 1958 Chevy Apache, and cut up the 1978 C10 donor truck for the desired parts. And cut the rest up to make it easy to take to recycle. Had 80% of the truck cut up in 1/2 a day. Don't worry what was cut up wasn't worth using. -

Excellent product!

Price Value Quality I ordered this plasma cutter and just fired it up, and I have to say this sucker rocks.
On 1/8" steel the control was awesome and I could through it ridiculously fast.
For cutting 1/4" the 220v worked better and cut through it like butter. No problems at all.
For under $600, I don't think you can beat it.
Now my only problem is..... what else can I cut up? -

I was shocked

Value Quality Price I just got this plasma cutter delivered this afternoon. Simply plugged all the connectors in like the set up video.
Made my first cut on some 3/16th steel with outstanding results. Nice clean cuts easy control arc. I think it's an outstanding value. A friend bought a competing plasma cutter for 3 times the money and this does just as good I believe.
Now I can't wait for the TIG to show up.

great little plasma cutter
Review by BigLarry -
Value Quality Price I was surprised at how small this unit it is but it packs some serious punch. I would run it off 220 volt if at all possible. On the 27 amp setting (it goes to 40 amps) it cut through some 1/4" wall tubing like it was tinfoil. The other thing I really liked is the 20' long torch cable, many other brands only have a 12'-15' cable. Having a 3 year warranty with a company that I know will be around is also a good selling point.

Great product

Value Quality Price Picked up the plasma cutter 2 weeks ago and a few hours of use so far. Very simple to use and setup. I would recommend picking up or ordering extra electrodes and nozzles however as I went through the included 2 fairly quick testing everything out.
I would recommend this to anyone however. -

Excellent value

Price Value Quality Just as I expected from Eastwood, another great product at a good price. I have the TIG 200 also, which is terrific. The plasma cuts so easy, right out of the box, I was cutting like a pro. Never tried plasma before... I'll never use oxy-acetylene again. My new favorite tool.

Price Value Quality Purchased two weeks ago and pulled out of the box and got busy! This little sucker works better than I expected. My son borrowed it three days after I got it and was so impressed that he hasn't brought it back yet! Highly recommend.
