About Eastwood TIG Welder 200 Amp AC/DC
Eastwood TIG200 200AMP welder features an AC/DC switch that allows both steels and aluminum to be welded with the same machine. With a 14' torch and a 10' ground cable, you'll be able to get into any space with this exceptional machine. It has pre- and post-flow adjustment knobs to protect your weld and torch. It even has a foot pedal to control amperage so you can get going quickly, without the need to dial-in the machine for a specific material. Powered through a NEMA50 plug.
Automatically switches from 110v to 220v depending on input. Infinitely adjustable foot pedal and amperage control allow accurate aluminum welding, and adjustable pre- and post-gas flow results in proper arc starting, stabilization and bead cool-down. Thumb control overrides the foot pedal for out-of-position welding, or when bench welding is not an option. This TIG 200 Welder is backed by Eastwood's no-hassle 3-year warranty. Try it for 30 days, and if you're not satisfied, simply return it.

So far, great welder!

I bought this welder as part of the plasma/tig/cart combo.Value Quality Price
I've been really pleased with this welder so far! It's been 7yrs since I did any welding and I was no expert then, so I'm still getting back into the groove while learning this machine but so far it's been working great It's easy to use and adjust and has had plenty of power for all my general usage needs. I really appreciate that the welder and plasma use the same type of ground cable.
My only grip is some of the plastic connector shells and that the send a crappy hand-held welding mask with the TIG. Until we sprout 3rd arms... either knock $5 off the price, or tack on another $5 and include a real mask -
great for small to medium projects

Was so easy to set up and use within 10 minutes after unpacking. The supply hose was missing and a brief call call and 3 days later it arrived. I used it on 22ga stainless and 063 alum and was surprised how easy it was to control the puddle and run a neat tight bead on each. I would recommend this as an excellent choice to begin on or use as a hobby or even light portable industrial.Price Value Quality -

Its cheap compared to other tigs, but the saying "you get what you pay for" is all too true. Mine kept turning off while welding or would have an extremely weak arc. Got a few welds out of it, but it is being returned and swapped for a mig welder. Just not worth the trouble.Price Value Quality -

I haven't used it allot, but I'm very happy with it so far. We have a few Miller Econo-TIG's at work, and I actually like the TIG 200 better. If it continues to work as it has so far, you really can't beat it for the price, especially with a 3 year replacement warranty.Value Quality Price -

i got the tig 200 and the plasma cutter combo when it was on sale for 1,099 buks. my first weld was on my aluminum jon boat, welded a bracket for rod holders. at first the puddle kept balling up, i increased the amp and bam got the puddle goin. the key is moving the puddle in between the welding parts. the weld looks solid, it dont look like roll of coins but its solid. the previous bad weld spots i just ran over it with the torch only on higher amp...foot pedal to the metal. im hooked on tig welding, welded today till the gas ran out. the weld looks horrible without argon gas. well that was my experience today with the tig 200, notbad for a first timer.Value Quality Price
oh , btw i used a 1/16 lanthanated tungsten and 1/16 4043 filler rod, but i think 3/32 been better filler. -

I had given up trying to find an affordable TIG. Not only is this model affordable, but it is also able to work on my 110V outlet. It also has a dual plug so it can work on 220 as well as 110. I haven't found anything that I couldn't weld. If you have a decent technique with a gas welder, this unit will make you look like a hero and not put so much heat into your surrounding metal. VERY adjustable and goes up to 1/4" with ease. I put it on a low profile cart because the case is very tall.Quality Price Value
One note, very minor: the gas inlet is VERY LOW on the back of the case. You will have to grind a semi circular relief on the back edge of your cart to clear the hose fittings.

I reluctantly purchased this TIG welder due to numerous concerns / issues mentioned in the reviews however, Eastwood customer service is top notch. I made the jump and bought the package deal with the plasma. After quickly setting up the TIG, I was welding happily.Quality Price Value
Eastwood - keep up the good work with regards to customer service. It's what sold me and many hobbyists here in the US appreciate a stand up company backing their products! -
Great Reviews.....but.....Not so good experience!

Really don’t know what to say except the Customer Service was OK….however some calls to Customer Service and e-mails to the tech. support were never returned.Quality Price Value
I purchased the welder because of the good reviews but my experience has not been rewarding.
Unit No.1 went off like 4th of July fireworks after just 1.5 hrs. getting used to the unit.
Unit No.2…..the fan would run but would only power up when you giggled the powered cord…
Tech said they had switched suppliers and were working out the kinks..
Unit No.3………the fan runs but would not power up…
They will schedule a pick up for No.3…..No.3 wasn’t the charm and I didn’t want to chance No.4 so I asked for a refund.
I still have a ¾ tank of gas…..You can’t beat the price but I guess getting a usable unit is just a crap shoot.
PS. I have gotten really tired of boxing up these units.

Working GOOD

Ordered in mid july . Received it ,then a couple of weeks before I got the tank and cart and plug wired . Set it up and adjusted the Argon flow, shut it off worked fine. Next day setup to weld and powered it on and it shut down and died. I had read all the reviews . Tech support said it would have to be shipped back. Talked with returns person ,she sent a pickup to FEDEX . I packed it up and it was picked up. Received new one the following week, set it up and started welding. I have about an hour on it and plan to play some more this weekend. I t had been several years since I had done any Tig welding. TIG200 is working great. Now to try some small parts/gunparts. YES I would buy it again! Works as good/better than machines at twice the price. OWLSHOPQuality Price Value -
