I used this clearcoat for my first ever full paint. I hate it as far as application goes. The product says it doesnt need any reduction, but I tried twice with horrendous orange peel. I tried everything, different air pressures, different activators, different techniques (distance, speed, flow) I got the reducer called out and the reducer to says to use it per the instructions on the clearcoat, which says it isnt needed. The reducer helped but I still have orange peel, its drastically better, I used a 4:1:1 mix with the reducer, I dont know it I could have used more.

I painted my car TWICE because this stuff is tricky. I used the medium activator and sprayed with a 1.4 tip on a Eastwood Concours gun (74* and 15% humidtiy) I ended up with alot of orange peel. I played with air pressures, gun settings and different spraying distances and speeds to get it to level. I ended up sanding it down and respraying with the slower activator thinking the low humidity was my problem. I resprayed at 70* and 25% humidity and it still peeled. I was never really happy with the thickness of the product in the cup. I think if it was thinner it would atomize better. Will be doing another coat with the reducer next time.
