I put two shallow scratches in the brand new windshield of my Porsche Boxster. These scratches did not catch the fingernail, and were only visible when viewed at the right angle relative to a source of light. I was very frustrated with myself and tried every paint polish and pad I could think of, using a rotary buffer. I even tried a felt pad with toothpaste and it seemed to make no difference. Finally I tried a heavy rubbing compound (by hand only though) and that did nothing for the scratches, but left a very slight haze behind.

After repeatedly kicking myself, I searched out this product on the net. Some of the reviews were mixed, so I was not too sure this would work. Since the scratches did not catch my fingernail, I elected to go with the "regular" polishing kit as opposed to the kit that also includes sanding discs for deeper scratches. Frankly, i did not want to experiment with that.

I carefully masked off the car so that only the windshield was exposed, and then mixed up a little of the compound, pre-soaked the pad and started polishing. I had a spray bottle of water handy to keep the windshield moist. I used a Dewalt rotary polisher set at 1000 rpm. I kept the polishing cycles short and kept checking for heat build up. I had no issues and probably could have been more agressive.

As it was, it took some time, but eventually those scratches and the haze were completely gone! I am unfortunately too obsessive about this stuff, but I as hard as I looked, I could not detect even a hint of the former damage. Very, very happy with this kit. It did what was claimed. My only comment is that I think it would be considerably more difficult using a drill as opposed to a good rotary polisher.

Removed 95% of a terribe window haze of scratches from night and dusk lighting conditions. You need to put some elbow effort into this. The only drawback is that this stuff is pricey and it doesn't remove deep embedded scratches.

This product was pretty labor intensive, but it works well. I am very happy with the results and the quality of the item. The only downside is that I was watching videos on how to properly use the product; I was able to source the same material from other vendors for significant cost savings. I will surely advise my other car enthusiasts to shop around.

I purchased a used truck from a New Mexico rancher who did not believe in washing it (5 years worth). Needless to say the side window haze that desert dwellers are familiar with was so bad you could not see through them when the sun was low. A local glass shop said replacement was the only option. I took a chance on the Pro Glass Polishing Kit and am glad I did. The windows are showroom clear. I am very impressed with the outcome; no swirl marks or waviness, just clear glass. Just use good polishing techniques and keep the paste/slurry moist; don't try to do the whole window at once. Expect to make a mess and to expend some energy. Each side window took about 1 1/2 hours and I used about 1/4 of the compound.

It seems like this product was intended for windshields.

However, I used this product on Ford Carlite tempered side glass on my Shelby Mustang's passenger door.

There were numerous scratches present from the dealer. Though they could not be felt with my fingernail, they were long and numerous, looked bad, and very visible when low sun came in through the window.

The batteries in my drill are poor, so I used the felt pad provided on my dual action Mequiars car polisher on the lowest speed setting.

I made sure to keep the product on the felt pad moist with a spray bottle of water on hand.

Tempered glass is apparently harder than windshield glass so it took quite a bit of time.

The scratches are gone, no distortion.

    Great product.

I used your product to polish 47 years of haze off the windows on my 65 coronet. the only thing u really need is a angle drill or right angle air drill. but the polish worked perfectly. It was only enough to do the Front and rear windows , which is what i needed to do

    Thanks again

Recently purchased this product to remove some small scratches on my windshield. Nothing to deep, but still noticeable when driving. After about 3 hours of polishing I was able to see a significant difference. The scratches were about 90% gone, which was enough for me to not want to purchase another windshield. It gets VERY messy too. Had to give my car a deep cleaning afterwards.

Overall I would recommend this product if you have scratches that aren't very deep and are on a budget that prevents you from getting another windshield. Be prepared to put in a lot of work to get your windshield close to perfect.
