Great Product - Over priced

This product was pretty labor intensive, but it works well. I am very happy with the results and the quality of the item. The only downside is that I was watching videos on how to properly use the product; I was able to source the same material from other vendors for significant cost savings. I will surely advise my other car enthusiasts to shop around.Price Value Quality -

I purchased a used truck from a New Mexico rancher who did not believe in washing it (5 years worth). Needless to say the side window haze that desert dwellers are familiar with was so bad you could not see through them when the sun was low. A local glass shop said replacement was the only option. I took a chance on the Pro Glass Polishing Kit and am glad I did. The windows are showroom clear. I am very impressed with the outcome; no swirl marks or waviness, just clear glass. Just use good polishing techniques and keep the paste/slurry moist; don't try to do the whole window at once. Expect to make a mess and to expend some energy. Each side window took about 1 1/2 hours and I used about 1/4 of the compound.Quality Price Value -

It seems like this product was intended for windshields.Value Quality Price
However, I used this product on Ford Carlite tempered side glass on my Shelby Mustang's passenger door.
There were numerous scratches present from the dealer. Though they could not be felt with my fingernail, they were long and numerous, looked bad, and very visible when low sun came in through the window.
The batteries in my drill are poor, so I used the felt pad provided on my dual action Mequiars car polisher on the lowest speed setting.
I made sure to keep the product on the felt pad moist with a spray bottle of water on hand.
Tempered glass is apparently harder than windshield glass so it took quite a bit of time.
The scratches are gone, no distortion.

I used your product to polish 47 years of haze off the windows on my 65 coronet. the only thing u really need is a angle drill or right angle air drill. but the polish worked perfectly. It was only enough to do the Front and rear windows , which is what i needed to doQuality Price Value

Recently purchased this product to remove some small scratches on my windshield. Nothing to deep, but still noticeable when driving. After about 3 hours of polishing I was able to see a significant difference. The scratches were about 90% gone, which was enough for me to not want to purchase another windshield. It gets VERY messy too. Had to give my car a deep cleaning afterwards.Quality Price Value
Overall I would recommend this product if you have scratches that aren't very deep and are on a budget that prevents you from getting another windshield. Be prepared to put in a lot of work to get your windshield close to perfect. -

Be sure to protect other areas of your vehicle that you are not working on as the over spray is quite messy, but easily cleaned. -

I never got around to cleaning off the seagull poop from our 2010 Honda Pilot after a vacation at the beach. It was two obnoxious droppings, one being in the line of sight and too much for the windshield wiper fluid to handle. My wife took things into her own hands and "scrub padded" the windshield with some windex. This left a 4 inch scratch/abrasion mark that was 10x worse than the poop. After trying regular glass cleaners..nothing worked. I checked the local auto parts store for some glass polish of sorts, but no luck. I called window chip professionals and they said they cant do anything about scratches. I called a windshield place, they suggested a new windshield for approximatly $800. Then odered this product, used as directed with a cordless drill and 20 minutes of careful polishing..Whaalaa..perfect shiny clear glass!Price Value Quality -

15 minutes with a cordless drill removed severe wiper haze from a 10 by 10 inch area.Price Value Quality
Remmeber that sand pits or true scratches are far, far deeper than microscopic wiper haze. This compound cannot hope to remove them. And failing to have the glass and the polishing puck completely clean will certainly cause new scratches.
I did receive white cerium oxide powder in the kit. -
Will not work for sand-pitted glass

I bought a used '96 Audi A4 with 159K miles that had significant windshield sand pitting from extended highway driving in some sandy state somewhere. I used a variable-speed polisher at the recommended 1500rpm on one 4" diameter spot for 30 minutes and I couldn't remove even the smallest sand pits. Since the polishing compound is red, I suspect that the polish that comes with the kit is Iron(III), or ferric oxide, also known as jeweler's rouge, rather than the more commonly used cerium oxide which is white. Cerium oxide cuts quite a bit faster, but it is said that iron(III) oxide will give a superior finish. Anyway, if you have any kind of sand pitting, forget the sanding and polishing and get a new windshield.Quality Price Value
