About Economy Stand

Base and platform are cast iron, connected by a steel post. Stand must be bolted to the floor. Some drilling may be required. 3-legged base is 18" in diameter.

I bought this with the 1HP buff motor. I thought the stand was a bit too unstable for this application so I drilled and tapped the post for the bottom 3 bolts and then drilled and tapped the post and motor base with 2 extra holes. Once together with all the bolts tightened into the post it is very stable. It is so stable that by adding rubber feet to the stand I can use without bolting to the floor. Took an extra hour but it is worth the effort.

Excellent value. as stated in product information, design for bolting to floor, but can also bolt to wooden board(s). I bought a second stand after using the first one for several months.
