    Protect Your Newly Painted Wheels. Delivers added protection against rust, corrosion and chemicals while providing a high-gloss finish that will add a clear-coat depth to your wheels. This formula resists fading, chipping, and cracking. Ideal as a clear coat over Rally Wheel Silver paint. Compatible with most cured lacquer and enamel paints. One can covers 6 sq. ft. or 2 to 4 wheels. 90+% gloss, Polyurethane, Max temp 300 degrees F. Buy 3 or more and Save! May slightly dull polished metal surfaces.

    Application

    This clear works well over thoroughly cured lacquer, enamel and unusual finishes like our trunk paints. Dries to the touch in 5-10 minutes at 50% humidity 77 degrees F. Fully cured in 48 hours at 77 degrees F at 50% humidity. 90+% Gloss. Can be recoated at any time at 77 degrees or warmer, 50% or less humidity. Note: Dry times can vary considerably depending on the substrate being sprayed. The slowest dry time was found to be when sprayed on non-porous, non-treated hardwood, which can take up to 90 minutes to be tack free. Pencil hardness after 48 hour cure @77 degrees F is 6H to 8H.

    On already smooth surface works great with high gloss, but rough paint would need wet sanding first. Also, a day after coating or later, buffing with slightly abrasive wax or scratch remover would take care of duller areas.

    90% gloss sounds numerically like it has a high gloss. In reality it is somewhat dull. If you want a high gloss finish this is not it. Was going to return the cans I bought, but after shipping costs were determined decided to just keep them for something else later on. In my opinion, Eastwood should alert the customers that this product is not for high gloss applications.
