About Under Gone Undercoating Remover Aerosol 17 oz
Undercoat removal made easy! Here's the solution for undercoats that can be imprinted with a thumbnail. Biodegradable undercoat remover quickly loosens the bond of the undercoating to the base metal and allows you to easily scrape it loose. Use PRE Painting Prep to remove any remaining residue for a "paint ready" surface. Not for use on baked-on, epoxy or urethane undercoatings. For cleaning up an area to be welded, this is a must! 17 oz. net wt. aerosol.
One aerosol can contains 17 oz of Undercoating Remover.
Non-toxic, non-corrosive, CFC-free, Biodegradable
Shake can thoroughly before, and periodically during, use. Spray-apply to a 12" square area and allow to penetrate for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Then scrape loosened undercoating from surface. Reapply if necessary to remove heavy applications.
NOTE: Will remove paint! Rinse painted surfaces immediately with water to avoid damage. Do not use for removal of baked-on, epoxy or urethane coatings.

I have spent a few dollars this year buying Eastwood product and always been happy til now. I paid 19.99 a can times two, plus shipping. and it just don't work. Not even a little. Zero, nada, zilch!Price Value Quality -

This product is probably only good for certain types of undercoating. I'm guessing if it is rubber, this stuff won't do anything but clean the rubber. Eastwood should clarify this in the product description, and perhaps provide some type of "test" to determine whether this product will work on your undercoating.Quality Price Value -

Eastwood Undergone is absolutely worthless in tryting to remove undercoating from a car. At $12.99 per can, it is a HUGE rip-off. You might was well use soap and water to remove undercoating as this product had the exact same results, nothing !!!. I am Shocked that Eastwood would put it's name on this worthless, product.Quality Price Value -

I have a 1966 chevy truck that I'm removing the undercoating on. it took several coats to get the coating off.Quality Price Value
BUT: this was an old brush pumper fire truck and the undercoating was heated and cooled many times I'm sure, as I'm a firefighter and would know. -

the only thing about this i had to use alot of it. although in defence, this was an old fire truck that had been coated, and heated up many time out in the fire's. one i soaked it enough it came off with a puddy knife.Quality Price Value -

I tried Undergone on the front wheel well of my 1969 Firebird. It foamed up but did nothing to help me remove the undercoating. I then used my heat gun and the results were great. It all came off in long strips.Quality Price Value -

I first tried to remove the factory undercoating on my 68 chevy pickup cab using a spatula and a sturdy scraper tool. It wouldn't even scratch the surface! Then I used the Undergone...and what a difference. I just let it soak in for about 2 minutes and then with just the spatula it started coming off. It did take a little muscle behind it, but I was able to remove a 5 sq. ft. section in about ten minutes. Undergone made it come of with ease!Price Value Quality -

I recently spray the Eastwood Rubberized compound in my wheel wells. After about a week, I decided it was not the look I was going for. So I ordered the Undergone product thinking it would take it off easily. I sprayed heavily on one wheel well, waited one minute then scraped. while it did soften the product, I could not remove it. I then sprayed again, using almost half the can. Again it could not be removed.Value Quality Price
I wiped off the undergone product.Trying a different wheel well, I used some Aircraft stripper. The undercoating came off with a little pressure on the paint brush I was using to apply it. All wheel wells are clean using the stripper -
Worth its cost.

I don’t know what the others are talking about, I used this on my 60 year old Lincoln and after doing a spot by hand I found it was much easier with the undergone. I did find that power washing fist was a must. So to the guy who has 7 cans left, send them to me.Value Quality Price -

I have been restoring Oldsmobiles for 20 years and it is very hard to get the undercoating off the cars So I thought I would give the product a try, Don't it does not work like the can says it should. It would not even take the residue off after I removed the bulk of it with a torch.Price Value Quality
