    Details

Panel Separating Knife Even after you've drilled out spot welds, separating panels can be tough. With Eastwood's new "Smacker-Whacker" simply insert the heavy-duty Sheffield steel blade between the panels and lightly hammer the blade back to gently wedge the panels apart (or smack it there, and give it a whack!) 8 3/8" overall length.

This tool performs just as the description said it would, Great for splitting and finding spot weld. HOWEVER, it can really sting the hand when struck. Make sure you wear some good padded gloves. Great tool!!

I have two project vehicles, both needing a fair amount of work (replace floor, firewall, cowl, and more) between the two of them and the Wacker-Smacker has been a HUGE help.

I have drilled out several hundred welds already, and there always seem to be parts of the welds that still get missed. With this panel separating knife, I smack through the remaining weld at angles that I couldn't get with a cold chisel or thin flathead screwdriver.

Hammering on the side of the blade to make a lateral cut can make your hands ring, so a heavier padded glove can really help. But it is great to be able to do that to help prevent tearing out the metal, or having to drill a second hole to get the remaining part of the weld.

This definitely can make a tough job a little easier.
