About Panel Separating Knife
Panel Separating Knife Even after you've drilled out spot welds, separating panels can be tough. With Eastwood's new "Smacker-Whacker" simply insert the heavy-duty Sheffield steel blade between the panels and lightly hammer the blade back to gently wedge the panels apart (or smack it there, and give it a whack!) 8 3/8" overall length.

Great product when you have a lot of welds

Value Quality Price I have two project vehicles, both needing a fair amount of work (replace floor, firewall, cowl, and more) between the two of them and the Wacker-Smacker has been a HUGE help.
I have drilled out several hundred welds already, and there always seem to be parts of the welds that still get missed. With this panel separating knife, I smack through the remaining weld at angles that I couldn't get with a cold chisel or thin flathead screwdriver.
Hammering on the side of the blade to make a lateral cut can make your hands ring, so a heavier padded glove can really help. But it is great to be able to do that to help prevent tearing out the metal, or having to drill a second hole to get the remaining part of the weld.
This definitely can make a tough job a little easier. -
