Our specially formulated PRE Painting Prep removes dirt, wax, polish, grease, silicone, buffing compound, even road tar, ensuring a clean surface that's ready for final painting or powder-coating.

About Eastwood PRE Painting Prep - 30 oz

PRE Painting Prep is very easy to use: just apply and wipe off. Works better than lacquer thinner, which can leave a thin residue on the surface that could interfere with paint adhesion. 30-oz. bottle.

PRE Painting Prep is a blend of solvents that may damage plastic, so please test first.

Works better than lacquer thinner that can leave a film behind, possibly compromising paint adhesion. Use to prepare surfaces for all Eastwood paints, including our exhaust manifold paints. On waxed areas, or surfaces that may have silicones, more than one application may be necessary.

Use in a well-ventilated area, or wear a respirator.

I thought I had cleaned the project until I used this product. I expected it to take a lot of the product but it didn't. Amazing how it cleans what I don't see. I recommend the use of this product if you want a quality finished product when done.

I was having problems with "fish-eye" in the primer stage of my bike project. I purchased the Pre Painting Prep and the problem was gone. I use it now for the pre-painting stage and everything is going great. Thanks for another super product !

Little pricey, but worth the extra cash. Got rid of everything on my frame and ensured rust converter had a good surface to adhere to.

This is truly a great product! I use it for everything. It is great for it's advertised purpose, pre-paint wipe down; but it's also really good for cleaning anything. I use it after media blasting-to remove the dust and such. It's also a very useful degreaser.
Using this product before powder-coating will insure the piece is free from any substance which will contaminate the powder. As long aas you make sure it is totally dry, the powder will adhere well, and look great.
As good a pre paint prep as I've ever used!
