Great value for this tool. Made installation so much easier hog rings fit in nicely and got them into those tight areas. Would recommend this item.

I needed the pliers that would stay open, not the ones that would stay closed. The description says the straight ones stay open and the angled ones stay closed. But Eastwood does not even carry the angled ones, so if you want it to stay open these are not for you!

If you are looking to make crab / shrimp traps, these are MUCH better than the cheap, straight-nosed pliers you find @ Lowe's & Home D. These will fit into the little spaces of the 1/2 " hardware cloth of your cage wire that you are making. The spring-load handles = less hand fatigue. That makes a LOT of difference when you are making bunches of cages. The price is WELL worth it !

These should definitely be your choice for a high quality, ergonomic tool. They have a very good feel to them and work as advertised. They are a bit pricey so watch for a sale.
