Spray Max Rapid Cut-in Spot Clearcoat aerosol

Spray Max Rapid Cut-in Spot Clearcoat aerosol

Product Review (submitted on July 24, 2010):

This is about the best clear you will ever get out of a can. It really is an automotive finish in a can. The good news is that it is easy to apply and flows really well. The bad news is that once you activate the hardener, (built into the can) you only have about 12 hours to use the contents.

The can says 24 hours, which is true, but I found that my second coat shot 22 hours after activation, came out of the can blotchy and wouldn't flow the same as the coat the day before. This left me with a lot of finish work.

The can should say 12 hours, but I was happy. One of the things I liked about it was you can really finish this stuff with wet sanding and finishing compound. I would use it again. Just be sure you have everything ready to go before activating and make sure you get enough coverage. You can sand out the drips, but if you don't have enough coverage and you sand through it to the color coat after 12 hours of activation time, you will have to buy another can and this stuff isn't cheap,
